Yesterday, I was hanging around on the Android Market Place to look around for some studio tools that might actually help in one or two areas, but also software that might interest me to get back into learning.

I found these:

Delay Time Calculators:
- Delay Calculator (to beat tap mode, but everything on one page)
- Echolalia Delay Calc (has tap mode, but not everything on one page)
Can't decide on either of those two.

Chord Tools:
- Chordboard (simplified for what it does)
- Basichords (definitely helpful for guitar tabs, but no custom tuning for E-guitars)
- Keychord (IMO not really helpful to me)
- PChord2 (Interesting to say the least)
I tend to go more towards Basichords and PChord2

Learning:
- NotesDeMusique (I use that to learn notes currently - something I really lack behind)
Really simple, but the only tool that works on my smartphone which also offers bass clefs.

Chord Wheel
- Chord Wheel (which is REALLY cool!)
Didn't find anything better than that. Sadly my screen is too small - wish I had a tablet.

I was actually also taking a look at VU/SPL meters, but most of them are just... moot. I mean, I have a real SPL meter and most of the time Android/iOS phone mics are not calibrated. So I pretty much ignored them. Even if they might be helpful if I'm booked as live musician (so if anybody has recommendations, shoot away).

I also know of the excellent TouchDAW (which I've yet to further test). Else I'd simply use TeamView on Android to control my host.

I am looking for tools however, where i can learn new stuff. Or that complement what I do at my studio. The Chord Wheel or the Delay Calcs are a great starting point. Especially the Delay Calc is something I might need every day.

Learning wise... I took a dive at VSB Music Theory, which unfortunately didn't work on my smartphone. Same with PT Cards Musik 1x1 - which I somehow did not get to run either.

Are there more tools along those lines?
What can you recommend from the flood of apps on the marketplace?

Looks like I'm on my own - teaches me for using Android devices.

Two things stare at me:

a) it's for a tablet
b) it's not for piano as well

But it definitely looks interesting.

And I am surprised how many great tools you get for barely any money these days. Though granted, you still need a tablet/smartphone.

It should be a universal app. I have it on my phone. Actually, if you check the screenshots, you can see how it works on a phone screen towards the end.

I also have:

Perfect Ear 2
Perfect Scales
Piano Companion Pro (there is a lite version too I think)

While not directly a learning app, Chordbot gets a honorable mention for testing out ideas. Too bad there is no good chord suggestion tool on Android like Pro Chords 2 on iPad.

Almost forgot, if you get a tablet, try Mapping Tonal Harmony Pro.

Will take a look at those the next days.
Thanks.
