In addition to the usual types of products and the possibility of a new hardware synth/controller/audio interface, what is NI's aversion to coming out with its own full on DAW? At this stage, the integration with its rather large family of products could be huge. But they seem to avoid it like the plague. Is it because of cross-marketing agreements with the major DAWs, or some other contractual obligation? Does anyone know?

So I'm gonna go for Sept 1. The current sale Komplete ends on August 31st, while jrr jumped the gun on August 1 - a month error in the system perhaps?

I don't think so, I don't think any software retailer would want to compete with the iPhone 6 launch.noiseboyuk wrote:So I'm gonna go for Sept 1. The current sale Komplete ends on August 31st, while jrr jumped the gun on August 1 - a month error in the system perhaps?
Not that iPhone 6 and Komplete compete directly, but I believe that lots of musicians rather spend their dough on iPhone 6 in September than upgrading software.

Not even, all my friends that buy Apple lose 6-12 IQ points per purchase. And the reverse appears to be true for NI. Maybe it's because the elements deteriorate their processes while sidewalk camping hoping to get it first.Numanoid wrote:I don't think so, I don't think any software retailer would want to compete with the iPhone 6 launch.noiseboyuk wrote:So I'm gonna go for Sept 1. But I would definitely opt for NI far before even considering any (cr)Apple product.

If yer gonna ask for something, ask for a Bass and acoustic drum program that sounds real, syncs together and creates multiple versions of song structures and styles...

Is Absynth 6 in the cards as part of Komplete 10?
With an IRIS type effects and editing
or the Mangle type granular synth
or touch sensitive controls
or drag and drop user samples?

Got an email about the "frenzy sale". Just bought K9 but figured, let's have a look, maybe I'm keen for K9U if the price is right. Showed up as no stock on NI's site. In fact, all NI K options showed up as out of stock for me... I may be jumping the gun, but hell, what else could it be but a final clear out prior to the K10 launch?

If they release Komplete 10 soon it will be just more stuff to learn and more products I want. In addition to that I have three seasons of games of thrones to get through. Plus the fact i'm trying to learn guitar. It's so tough living the first world sometimes.

I'm guessing Molekular will be part of it, justifying the upgrade from K9, for me at least !
