Thank you for the explanation Kirsty. I was changing the knobs white playing a few notes. I will read your HTML, though I do notice the images in the HTML don't match the current build of the synth :)

Thanks for the quick reply :)
:tu: All is good

Hello Kirsty,
The Noise module fix was really great ,thank you very much for that fix :) (my sea waves crashing patch is much more natural now :D)
The slew module is a nice addition, now i can glide those notes :D
The Chorus module still needs a fix , reports the same issue (audible modulation noise)
Thank you for the “harmonic profiles” working great :) ever thought of making a fairlight emulation someday ? :D

Hi Sergio
I think I need to delete all my chorus code and start again :bang:
Re: Fairlight Emu. There really isn't enough space on the patchwork display to do that sort of thing but
I'm quite competent programming in OpenGL and have been toying with the idea of writing a full screen windows application to build wavetables for various software/hardware synths someday.

Now a question.
I only have an Akai LPK25 http://www.akaipro.com/product/lpk25#overview
so have no pitch bend or mod wheels. Can you tell me if the pitch bend comes out of the System CV
plug on the patchwork, before I write more code (which I can't test) to access the mod wheel.

Ta Kirsty

Merely curious -

- but why are you hiding your bushel under whatever it is people hide bushels under (I'm not entirely certain what a bushel is, so I might have got that a bit wrong) here on the Modular forum, when you could be reaping shedloads of already overdue adulation over on the Instruments forum?

(Take my own adulation as read, of course.)

Hello Kirsty,
i'ved tried to find in Flstudio the "System CV" parameter so i could assign to my modulation wheel...but i couldn't find it,only found "GUI" parameters as you can see on this printscreen:

It is on the Modular forum because it is a modular synth.

It is on the Modular forum because it is a modular synth.
It's a good question though, because it's also an instrument of course. Modular synths like Zebra and ACE are mostly discussed in the instruments forum too I think.

Maybe this section is more aimed towards the modular environments like SynthEdit, Reactor and SynthMaker :)
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Hello Kirsty,
Another bug...when setting a value of "0" on sequencer step knob ,actually makes the sequencer to stop when it reaches the specific value. It will only run with values of 1 or above (1-100)

Hi Sergio

Are you sure about this. I see your picture shows the loop forward mode but it works perfectly for me here
in all modes.
Are you somehow getting mixed up with either of the two 'one shot' modes which are supposed to do this.
In one shot the sequence will stop and hold on the last step.

Bump
The KVR forum title say's Modular Synth Design and Releases.
I'm not looking for adulation. I'm just sharing the synth I'm making for myself for free
with other like minded people and getting a bit for free beta testing advice from them in return.
I have no hidden agenda.

Kirsty :)

ps. I'm British, so for me a bushel = 8 imperial gallons

Works OK for me too. In one shot mode it stops, but loops OK otherwise.

Hello kirsty,
I understand all the modes ,i'm using the first one and even on all other modes displays the same result...the sequence will simply stop when encounters a value of "0" . i'm using a "Clock" module (rate of 20) connected to the (gate) "sequencer" module,i can strip the VCA and connected directly to the Final output (output module) to hear and visualize the stepped sequence, when i'm using values of 1 to 100 the sequence will run forever, but as soon as i drag the knob (doen't matter which knob as long it's in the steps "range") to the value of zero (0) the sequencer will simply stop ,and i can no longer hear or vizualize any signal comming from the sequencer...it will even halt patchwork modular ,i have to clear the buffer disconneting the sequencer to the final output ,use other module (noise ,or oscillator) alone connected to the final output ,and then connect the sequencer again but making absolutely sure that all of the knobs don't have a value of "0".

Maomoondog, you use the same DAW (Fl studio)as i'm using, can you run the sequencer when using any value of 0 ?(knob fully turned to the left).

Having just now tried it on the "Equinoxe" patch, changing the value of the lower two sequence slots, the sequencer wont run. I am pretty sure that it worked before.

Hi Sergio

Can you please post a screen shot of the 'Synthesizer' panel so I can see what the sequencer is controlling.

Because it works OK for me and Maomoondog I don't believe the sequencer is at fault.
It's probably something the sequencer is controlling at fault.
From the way you describe the problem, synth shutting down etc...
I have an idea it's a result of my CPU optimization code. Your image shows the Sequencer range selector set to high
and I assume (never assume anything Kirsty. ED) it's controlling the pitch of an oscillator or filter frequency.

To keep CPU use at a minimum, Patchwork has some code to shut down any module that's not doing anything useful.
IE: a module with no input or output connection, or a module trying to process a signal out of range.
Maybe I made that code a bit too aggressive.

Kirsty :)

Better than a screen shot ,here is a video capture :D
