I tested the loop bug with MuLab. I realized it is MuLab which has a bug that prevents RC rendering the first note. This is what happens:
the host (MuLab) tell the plug-in (RC) exactly what to render: a sample offset and a sample count (960 samples in this case). The plug-in sends MIDI events and/or audio data to the host. For the first two bars sample offsets go from zero to 192000 (at 120BPM and 48kHz). At the end of the loop MuLab does this:
- plugin should render from 191040, length=960 samples (this is OK, this should be the last chunk)
- plugin should render from 192000, length=960 samples (this is already wrong, as it is AFTER the loop endpoint)
- plugin should render from 960, length=960 samples
The 0 to 959 samples range was not rendered at all, this is why the first note that begins at sample 0 won't be played.
I will contact MuTools about it.
Until they fix this I added a workaround that will fix the loops in MuLab. This may work in other hosts too. A new beta version was uploaded with this fix.

Cheers,
Attila

Hi. I didn't get any feedback on my recent crashes of RC or may whole computer freeze while using RC in Studio One.
Was the information I provided insufficient?

Thanks Attila! You'll explain them the issue far better than me...

Once more... thanks for that workaround. It will allow me to progress in my composition in the meanwhile.

I hope to get an NFR version of Studio One so that I can test the plug-in properly. So I did not forget about these issues...

Thanks,
Attila

Hi Attila!
Thanks for the new beta version!
I very much hoped that the new beta version will be fixed the old problem (even last year) - do not play the first note of the VST plugin (now in the mode of cycle sometimes plays the first note, sometimes not (.... as if can not to catch the first note) Yes, I am again about Digital Performer! But of course the plugin started working much better! But not yet as I would like to DP! ...
Sincerely, lulukom!

In the new 2.72b2 of today, the problem persists. Exactly the same, and with the same information of a missing "Note On" in the MIDI Monitor.
