Would I regret if I buy the Beyerdynamic DT880 PRO?

Consider one thing: headphones are a very subjective matter, especially regarding the wearing comfort. Only after you wear them for a longer time you can decide wether you like them having on your head for maybe hours. If possible, buy at a place where you can return it or exchange it for another model.
Also, the DT 880 has a spiral cable which can be annoying depending on your setup , I have my audio interface right under my screen and when using the headphones, the spiral is practically always in the way with the mouse and keyboard... Sadly, you cannot replace the cable easily. Other companies offer replaceable spiral and straight cables, e.g. shure.
Apart from that the DT880 are great cans...

I think wearing comfort, as mentioned above, is probably a chief criterion. Also mentioned was closed vs open. I normally prefer open designs, but get less distracted when using closed ones (car passing outside, neighbors arguing, donkey down the road screaming, etc), so I use ATH-M50 when I need to concentrate, and some old, open Sennheisers when I listen to music recreationally.
But anyway, you'll love your new headphones, no question.

The 880's are crazy comfortable for me.
And the 600 ohm version does have a straight cable, not the spiral. The 250 ohms may have the spiral?

Not here - my 600-ohm DT880s have a coiled cable. Mine are relatively old, though (bought them in 2008 IIRC), so maybe BD changed the design since then?ImNotDedYet wrote:The 880's are crazy comfortable for me.

But, yeah, they are crazy comfortable indeed.

If I remember correctly, several of the BD series come with a choice of cables -- I know a limited edition version of the DT770 came with both (I passed on that - ridiculous price and I wanted the DT770M, which is a really nice closed pair). Not sure on the 880Pro, though.

+1 on the 880 250 ohms. I hesited to spend that much money on headphones but did anyway.
They are very comfortable, big enough to fit any ears and provide the clearest sound I've ever heard on cans. Highly recommended.

Interesting. I bought mine within the last two or three months off Amazon, and straight cable indeed.cryophonik wrote:Not here - my 600-ohm DT880s have a coiled cable.
