I'm *dying* for a MIDI scaler or a "MIDI compressor" object.
set CC or Vel range from 50-100
0=50, 127=100, and all notes in between scale
to satisfy the 50-100 range.

I am aware that this is possible in the Param menu, but as an *object*,
it's MUCH more flexible. To be able to use them along with the MIDI patcher,
and ultimately MIDI filter objects.

When working in modular MIDI environments such as Reator/PD/Max,
I find such objects INDISPENSIBLE, *especially* when using sensors and cameras to generate MIDI, which in turn, controls things *other* than sound.

I'm finding eXT to be VERY close to replacing PD/Max for low-level MIDI routing. Couple that with it's DEVINE VST handling, it's almost there for me.
What I wouldn't do for a scaler, a MIDI filter, and as a pipe dream, a velocity object with velocity scaling and editable curves

Yes I'm looking forward to a specialised component for this too...just that you made it sound as if setting the Min/Max values on the Env, and CC mapping windows didn't scale the data, when it does.

And as piranha mentioned... we made our own SE plugins to do this already.

I'm hoping the upcoming transformer component will include this ability.

I just realized that my Velosquish only does velocity scaling.

I guess I am going to need to create another version that does CC scaling. Maybe I'll call it ccCrush.

* Mono audio tracks in the sequencer save some HD space and transfer.

that CC scaler is the ticket!
I am familiar with Piranha's Velosquisher,
so now I'm one step closer...
though it would be nice to see these things rolled *into* eXT...
visual consistency, one-stop shopping and all.
Does anyone know more about this intended "transform" module?

Could we maybe get a sort of notepad in XT - For um.. notes

I actually needed one today, but I had to resort to using windows Notepad.

I could use a spell checker too

isn't there a notepad type plugin?...I know I used one years ago, but forgot where I got it...I remeber it was free.

would be supercool to have one built into XT. I'm always dropping MIDIchs components into my project and using the NAME to make small notes.
