I was not joking :) I see that my action is funny. This is not so when you are in action working to solve a problem! The serious things you think are funny to others. After you can see and laugh.

I laugh now to see myself doing all this!

You know whats really funny? We have a pair of these exact speakers at my office. We recently rebuilt our sound control room, and pulled these speakers off the wall (they were hanging from some very heavy chain and bolts...) For some reason, no one in the office seems interested in taking them home, myself included! So they sit gathering dust in a corner of a storage room.

...and no, I will not be shipping them off to any KVR members, sorry!
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Well, sorry then Alive. I really thought you were joking.
But to be honest, in any of our normal rooms, we don't need to measure anything, next to the screen is the best place to put the monitors.

deastman; I have a pait too, they are nice, but set up normally:)

Am I to understand that the trusty old JBL 4311's are getting a bit of flack here? Do ya know how many infamous recordings were mixed on these?

Well, neither do I, but it's a bunch!

Got a pair of 'em myself, along with a bunch of other crap! Too much, if you ask me. But I like it!!
And if their refurbished, they don't sound bad at all!

There's a lot of us old farts that like these things! Put 'em on Ebay, and use the term "vintage"! :D

Hi
I have never heard speakers which reproduce bass as well as these, althouth they technically only go down to 80 or 60 Hz or something.

Russian humour. I love it!
And it's not a chair

It's the Lazy-Boy Bass Trap Model 2800. I have several and my cat loves them.

Then I have a question.
Look at the chair.
Now look at the door.
How did you get the chair in the room?

I took apart the chair and put back together in room :)

The chair is a bass trap. Nothing more. :)

Oh, right, I was thinking you put it through the window, but the window is small too...

Which city is that room in, I quite like the room as such, nice ventilator:)

Met two birds from St. Petersberg last night, or was it Leningrad...:) ?

You have a great studio!

Very very good, and liked the description about how you work. Like the "no midi, all played live" approach.

What is the little grey synth we see?

BTW, I like the clean white lab ambience, I prefer this myself for a creative room... you can always get a few colored bulbs and get ambience of your choice... I used to do that and it's fun: try different colors schemes for working on different songs or on different occasions... yellow-red: very warm , green-blue: cold and artificial..

We sometimes found special bulbs with an effect or stange color and it was like a party... :)

Miss having a space like yours, looks like a fun place to play with people, a live drummer, etc...

Cool idea - different ambience for different songs!
How about different colours for different vocalists?
Green :so out of tune u want to vomit.
Red:30th take and still the same mistakes.
Blue; Christina Milan!!!
