well, i didnt go for FLstudio cause of the crap i got with trying to xfer the licsence...

however, i took the money and got an emu 1820m.

it totally rocks.

ultra low noise, great preamps, awesome routing capabilities...

2 midi ins and outs!!!

then i was thinking..

what if i got FL??? From the demo i discern it only takes one midi input at a time..

am i incorrect with this??

will this change?

I have used FL ALOT with making loops and even small songs without saving lol

and the potential is great!!!

but this concerns me.

errr, in the demo you cant save right?

I said

i use FL to make loops and short songs without saving.

now THATs sorted.

you fl ppl so paranoid

IM concerned because im STILL interested in buying this program, as it rocks from what i have used it for and what i have heard.

please put all warez assumptions aside.

so, multiple midi ins.

I have 3 midi in ports.

my mpu401

emu port 1

emu port 2
.

in FL, you can only select one at a time.

I want to leave all 3 hooked up and assign one to different channels,

my drumset, for instance, to BFD (when i get that one)

my keyboard to Livesynth pro, or sfv or whatever

and my v-amp 2 for tweakable knobs.

get it now?

thanks for your help :)

grah....

no offense speed or whatever,

but you sort of derailed my post.., lol

by FLstudio 5 i mean future versions, as i plan on buying the program, and i dont want to buy into something that isnt going where i would like it to, i may as well just save for samplitude or cubase sx.

If you use the program ALOT - buy it,

yeah thats what demos are for and this is getting ignorant.

i asked a simple question regarding a potential sale of FLStudio.

If i shell out for FL and it DOESNT EVER support multiple midi ins (simultaneously) it was a worthless purchase for me.

what is the problem here?

It's very likely that it will be added at some point. FL5 is due out the end of this year and you can count on loads of improvements and new features. In the mean time you could use some sort of MIDI merge device or (gasp!) physically swap MIDI cables depending on what device you're currently using.

I know how you feel, we all want the perfect host, but at a certain point you'll either need to start exploiting the limitations of your equipment or start designing your own.
