i never bind myself to just one unit. the material is always different, so what worked perfectly on one master, could fail on another, no matter how high the quality actually might be.
but, i´m saying this since the new versions of the j1000 eq´s were present, my search was basically over. and that´s me saying, who is in critics with synthedit plugins mostly, for obvious reasons (exeptions tighten the rules). but these are stunning, and they´re free, which to me is unbelievable. to me they´re so good, i´d really spend quite some money for them. however, synthedit was only used for the gui components, the audio code is native c+, so yeah... that might explain a lot.
oh and, mac users are out, of course.
i would really wish for him to code them completely native, so they´re availlable for mac and pc.
also, a negative point might be, that one can never be sure when these will be abandoned, he changed quite a lot the websites, as well as his old work got kind of abandoned. but if you got them and use them, then that´s it...
