How to select a midi and a wave file with a midi program change and play them

I have a list of media files added on the cantabile session and I want to select two of them (a mid and a wav) with a program change message and play them with another midi message.

The problem is, although the media file with 'master' state is saved on the subsession level, the 'synced' state is not, and only one file can be the master. So I can't select two specific media files for playing per subsession (the synced state remains constant for all subsessions).

Has somebody invented a workaround for this?

Had used ableton live (in sync with cantbile) for that, worked perfect...
