New channel strip by DDMF is on the way. I am happy beta tester and must say that this baby rocks.
Its EQ section sound amazing as well as compressor unit. There is an oversampling mode for even smoother results. CPU load is close to zero.

Thanks.
If you watched the curves, what it recreates like eq style?
Neveish or else?
And is it more transparent than SlickEQ Free?

i'd expect it to be an SSL channel clone. does it have any coloring?
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Why ?
Why do we need it to clone anything ?

I'd expect a DDMF plug to be a DDMF clone.

well, sad day for you, because the 6144 by DDMF is a clone of a Neve EQ (or rather, i think, a clone of a software clone of a Neve EQ). that said, i didn't mean it in a derogatory way. there's nothing wrong with cloning a great design.

i expect it to be an SSL clone because the GUI is very much SSL'ish and all the basic SSL stuff is there (although arguably that's what any channel strip should have anyway, but some don't). in fact, if it's not SSL, it's even better - a new flavour in the toolbox will be welcome.

whether it's a clone or not it's up to developer to clarify, but in any case, not being a clone of anything doesn't mean it doesn't have any coloring - hence the question.

@poshook: where we can download (and test) it? It's possible to test?

I thought I'd was a model or clone based on existing gear due to the gui. I would expect a more modern, work flow efficient, and cleaner gui from a clean plug.

well, the GUI doesn't look "workflow-inefficient" to me. reminds me of eaReckon's channel strip.

To be fair, it does look like a SSL channel strip. E-series from the caps and the case color. Though I could be greatly mistaken on that one.

And most plugins in that format need to cramp the layout somehow.
It's still easy to understand.

From the screenshot, and from experience, I think the routing is:
Gate -> EQ -> Compressor

The Comp > EQ button clearly shows that the comp can be put pre-EQ.
So if I didn't mistake anything, it's not confusing routing wise.

What is confusing however is the usage of a VU for the compressor, but a digital meter for the channel strip while the gate also uses an LED meter.

I think I'll wait for an official demo to judge the plugin.
The 6144 is a Neve Portico clone. And while Neve and SSL are pretty much overused (so no real innovation on that end9... well, as long as these plugins are affordable to people.

If we take colour into consideration it could be this: RS88 my favourite mixer. Rahman AR own it.

This was mixed on RS88
