This looks fantastically perfect, of course...
But,

Yeah, double the feature, half the CPU

A lot of developers could copy THAT ;)

This looks fantastic!
Based on current Pro-Q pricing, the upgrade would be between 52€ (65% off) and 75€ (50% off) for us Europeans which is reasonable.
However, even though I'll get maximum discount, I'm wondering if I really need it as Pro-Q v1 already does everything I need it to do. (and only had it for 3 months.)

I think the new phase mode plus new curves makes it worth it, and a number of useability additions like the keyboard and that method for grabbing part of a spectrum to place EQ points

Dan Worrall is the Michael Jordan of plugin demos. I always end up salivating after a plugin after watching one of his videos.

Great, so Dan is destined to follow up his voiceover career by being a terrible actor in underwear commercials? :hihi:

So, who's Scottie Pippen in this scenario?

Post

I bet Dan sounds great in underwear, in fact he probably sounds great in just about anything, or nothing at all for that matter. I get tingles just listening to him on that ProQ2 video. That voice and that sexy GUI....pure gear lust! Ooh, I think I need a cold shower!

Good question - I think many of us are in the same situation. Although the product is no doubt good, even the "discounted" price for the upgrade will be most likely high, a lot of money in these days. Fabfilter upgrade prices are what other developers crosscrade prices are - it seems that the market/tech leader can do this. H.

Post

Yes, it won't come cheap cheap. Then I think compared to all the features they put in, the upgrade price will be a total bargain.

Better start getting information from somewhere else.

Not that I've ever heard it distort, I made a test - a normalized sine wave, boosted 18dB before Pro-Q, and attenuated by the same after Pro-Q. The result is a perfect sine wave, which obviously means it's floating point, like 99.9% of plugins -

Probably best to check "rumours" yourself before assuming they're true :uhuhuh:

How are you ever going to get 1000 posts per year with all your precious "accuracy" and "fact checking"? Eh? Eh?
