one could argue it's a good thing :-)
I like it without the values. Keeps the interface clean/uncrowded and it helps force you to rely less on your eyes.

Now that you mention it, could be indeed.
Guess we have to wait and see then.

Regarding value tags - as long as it's written in the manual what values the markings have (1dB, 1,5dB, 2dB), I could live with either way.

If we look at the latest silent update 1.1.2 of the 6144 it sounds more transparent, and transients are not sharp like they was on previous version, something is going on on Neve sound development thought.

If it really is(!) a 88RS, I might actually jump on this deal.

But what about sidechain capability?
And why does the DDMF Channel Strip have Attack knobs while the 88RS (plugin) doesn't (here it's program dependent, ranging from 1ms to 7ms in fast mode, or 3ms to 7ms in regular mode if the ratio knob is adjusted)?
How can we switch from Gate to Expander mode?
Is the "input" knob for the Compressor or the whole channel strip?
Why not fixed Q values?

Unless it's not a NEVE after all, neither a SSL.
Sure isn't the Neve 8048 at least

WOW! This look great.... Hope it sounds as good too.

Is there saturation/'analogue modeling' included in this?

You're making it VERY hard to stick to my 'no plugins for 1 year' rule.....

Whatever DDMF works on makes me pay attention to it. :) I can't wait to test it!

Any word on a release date and price?

A new TU99, ey ?...

Well, in that case, I'll have to ask : are we all going to be STRIPPERS ?... :hihi:

I'd love to get more information on this plugin as well. Access to a manual at least.

Though price wise, I think it will clock in like most other DDMF creations: 39-49 USD. Just a wild guess here.
A release date might be of interest. Though as beta tester myself, I know that you can't give definite statements.

If it's really a 88RS in native plugin form, and it's behaving CLOSE to the UAD version... I'll think it's worth taking a closer look as soon as it's released.

I really did like the UAD 88RS when I had one. For some reason I didn't care too much about the compressor, but I liked the EQ.

Still, I'd like to see *some* kind of labels on the knobs, at least something for lowest and highest value, the frequency range I am working with that button or the ms range on attack and release. I don't wanna memorize a manual when working with a plugin, it's counterproductive.
But let's wait'n'see.

Post

Maybe they took up that NI habit of showing the value only when adjusting the knobs.... So you either see the label or the value. Who knows. Not a big fan of NI's way of doing it TBH.

It'd be nice if the developer would chime in here to answer Q's. :tu:
