The above "words" are the ramblings of a depraved megalomaniac.Any similarity to normal communication is a hallucination on the part of the reader.Replying to this post will result in your family and posessions becoming the property of funkynuts.

I was worried that my (the very first) reply was a stupid one and that he might have been joking all along. Phew! My mockery skills are still valid!bluelife wrote:Well, sorry then Alive. I really thought you were joking.
But to be honest, in any of our normal rooms, we don't need to measure anything, next to the screen is the best place to put the monitors.
deastman; I have a pait too, they are nice, but set up normally:)

No offence Alive my man but all that CAD stuff is bloody hilarious for a nice rectangular room!

Hey, I just saw this thread. Great little set up there! I can't wait until I get the finishing pieces for my home setup and a camera to share it with.

The pictures lie. All the wall have 11" slope to make the room a pyramidial frustrum. The bass nodes in the room are very small. I am still working on making flutter echo less.Karbon L. Yeah, it can seem a little bit obsessive, but frankly if you are willing (and have the desire) to put that kind of effort into placement, the payoff IS impressive. If it's not that important to you, that's fair enough. But personally I think it's great.

Nice approach to avoid using MIDI. I do use MIDI but i'd never use MIDI sequencing. If i play some kind of solo, i take just one try, no matter how often i miss a tone. I never try twice, though my songs would be better like that

Soon I will have midi
I want to store my performances and tweak the keyboard when I mix. I do this with my guitar and bass with Re-Amp. Why should I not be able to do it with keyboards?

I've got a bollocking great big room which has really high roof with my "studio" along one wall. With the monitors directed at my head and not too loud the reflections are very little.

In my testing a DIRAC givesvery high reflection and echo. A 40hz, 60hz, 120hz, 200hz pulse gives almost no problem anywhere in room. Some foam will help the echoKarbon L. Do you think some purple or white 3 inch foam will decorate the room well? It will solve my echo problem too.

Go with some tie-dye or paisley pattern drapes dude!
Roof as well! Make the place like a beduin tent. Everything really loose. Dont put money in the pockets of foam makers!

Come again?
Sorry. I mean can you explain that in some more detail?

One sample at full level. This make a small pulse. Once you test the speaker and the mic with the pulse you can test the room response. This best show reflection and echo.Karbon L. Forms wrote:Come again?

After you do this then sweep and noise are used to measure.
After this you use sweep with DIRAC at beginning and noise with DIRAC at beginning.
The speakers and microphone I have come with impulse response diagram. I use this with room diagram to subtract data and find what the room is doing. It is long process
