Hello.
I am going to soon have to purchase an external USB hard drive. Probably 120gb or more. I want at least 7200rpm so I can stream from disk.
Any brand/model recommendations? I know nothing about all the different brands out there. I see some pretty good deals on eBAY but don't know which one I should go for...
I have a Dell Pentium 4, 2.4ghz, with win XP home edition.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Adding a USB 2.0 hard drive to use for streaming guitar tracks but I wasn't sure if the transfer rate of USB 2.0 would be fast enough for the job. Anybody using one or have any advice? Thanks!

I just bought a Bytecc Enclosure (usb2) and a Hitachi 200gb drive for around $175. http://www.dealsonic.com/bymeidetousb1.html They offer an eclosure with both usb (2) and firewire for $15 more.

This Western Digital 250 GB external hard drive looks hard to beat at $220(with rebate):

Hey Phleep.
I just acquired a USB enclosure made by ADS and installed a 7200 rpm Seagate barracuda 160 GB drive with a 8Mb cache buffer. It works like a dream.
Good luck
