Here are some photos of my...*cough* studio, or whatever you want to call it.
I bet it's the cheapest production environment you've ever seen. :D
btw: Please excuse the bad image quality, but the camera i made the photos with is as cheap as the rest.

On the lower right corner you find the amplifier. It's the small box besides the tower. On the right and left side of the screen there are my "monitors", whom i don't even know the manufacturer's name.
On the right there is a Roland SoundCanvas Keyboard. The Keys are so cheap that i had to glue the high G three times until now. I use it as a "controller" although it has no aftertouch :? .
My wall is covered with nicely mirroring CDs and printed covers of artists i like.

Here you can see that my "table" is just two small shelfs and a wooden board on them.

This is an old organ from Elka which i bought at ebay for 7,50? :D It is not very flexible, has a dirty sound and i managed to place it so impractical that i never play it (I'd have to stand up and go around to do so).

Soon I'll buy some kind of hardware synthesizer (most likely a Poly6 or Juno60) but i don't have enough space around my PC.

Please post some recommendations what i should improve if i had the money :D thanks!
And, would you call this a "studio"? :D

"would you call this a "studio"? "
a cosy one eh ? :)
plus a Juno  , where ?

"Elka which i bought at ebay for 7,50 ... has a dirty sound"

am i missing something , or you should get a right speaker ? :?:

nice Studio :)

GREAT! I would move the speaker from the wall. Even with not pointing the speaker is omnidirectional. It radiate as much sound back as to you.

I would also take down all those pictures :) Im sorry. They look more like records :) I would still take them down.

I can imagine some amazing music from that space! One of my favorite artist has a space almost the very same.

On the first photo, the right speaker is that black box in the middle right. On the third photo, it is behind that cd stand.
and what does "cosy" mean? :) the translator doesn't know either.

 Why? Is it your opinion or because of the speaker's position? Don't misunderstand me, in german, a "cover" is that piece of paper in front of a record.

Post

I beleive that's "cozy," - sort of comfortable.

It's a nice look and seems aesthetically pleasing though. I would move the speakers away from the wall and find a way to flip that keyboard around so you can play it!

Post

I am saying the room is different from my room :) I think it funny for me to say this :)

The speaker position would be better if both speak against wall. I know this is not best, but this gives you same error on both sides in the small space :)

How is this not the right way but better than moving them away from the wall? I know that you will get an equal sound but as you said it is still in error, namely too much bass.

Thanks for your ideas!

You mean in parallel to the computer keyboard? I would have to buy a new wooden board. But then i would take the speaker away and "layer" the organ, the keyboard and perhaps the new synthesizer.

its bigger than mine :-o

I'd go all nuts if I had myself in front of me all day long.

Those who can do maths and those who can't.
