Again, I agrree but doesn't seeem to be the case here!

Mastering using Behringer Truth?

Blimey!

Nope, he got hoisted by his own petard this time as his own comment backfired and drew attention to his own very hobbyist range of equipment.

His last two listed "credits" I assume are his latest work for other artists as he has kept his plugin list well up to date (Slate VCC, Klanghelm etc).

It shouldn't matter and I couldn't care less whether he has not done any pro work since 2010. As long as he is enjoying his studio then all power to him.

But, he does come across as very opinionated and seems to think his high post count makes him an authority on everything here at KVR and I for one am glad that someone spotted his comment and quite rightly pointed out how ridiculous it sounded coming from someone with his gear list.

We all know that it's the tool not the fool, but people n glass houses etc....

Cheers

I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...

But isn't this the purpose of threads about certain plugins that people are stating their (sometimes strong) opinion?

Enough drama, back to Pro-Q. Love the keyboard on v2, but i think it could be improved by allowing the user to double-click on a note to add a node at the corresponding frequency. Not a big deal, but it would make it a little more intuitive...well, to me, at least.

Good suggestion. +1.

No-one deeserves to be attacked here so I should STFU as I'm being no better.

Sorry!

back to pro-Q2

I do love the look of the variable slope control on the tilt. Very nice indeed!

I just made it a feature request on the FF forum. Seems like it would be pretty easy to add.

:tu:
I would dig that also.

Havent purchased yet, but it is for sure a no-brainer for me.
Ive got eight or ten Pro-Q 1 instances in ever track...
(And I used to use Equilibrium.... :P I realized I am a meager hobbyist, and downgraded. :hihi:)

Tbh, it does seem slightly pricey for anyone who doesent get a hefty discount, but I do so I dont care. :hihi:

I always found Compyfox posts informative. I don't know what happened there but I thought he should know better... Ok, sorry back on topic.

Pro-Q 2 is just too much for me (price-wise), I'm just a hobbyist.

Seriously, these companies should do what Cockos do : sold a pro license and a non-for-profit license. I don't work in the music industry and don't earn any money from it, it is just a hobby for me but I would like to use these tools too. $30-50 is still better than no sale at all.

Look who's talking.

BTW - I did not call the teacher - the "teachers" are surely reading along themselves (as they're probably both DMG Audio and Fabfilter users themselves). They will step in if they seem fit. Maybe sooner, if somebody is feeling threatened and a mod is trigger happy again. Surely depends on the moon phase.

PS:
I mix and master on frequency corrected Truth 2031A's, my room is treated as well (built the absorber modules myself, on top of my whole studio environment). And if I want to, I can mix on sh*tty 1W mickey mouse type desk speakers just with host internal plugins and it will transfer great across the borders.

Others mix and master on originally consumer aimed NS10's - and nobody gives a sh*t. But ooooh, watch out, Compyfox is using Behringer gear. So he can't be a good mix engineer, since he's using crap gear and he's also only talking out of his rear end.

It's all cool, really. And it's always nice to judge people just by the selection of their equipment. Reminds me of the comments from so called "Professionals" that I hear for almost two decades now: "don't use Waves and ProTools, you're worth jack sh*t!".

To quote a scene out of the movie "The Matrix":

What, like those hobbyist Pro-Q users?

I'm straight up excellent at getting amateur sounds out of pro-grade plugs. :hihi:
