When Traction is open media players don't work

@Rack Blitz; Can't get it to work right now For the moment I leave it because Tracktion is running great and I don't want to disturb anything before I know exactly what I am doing

Not all the time. You can program ASIO to work with other media open. Tracktion does this a different way

Not this time. I also have the Terratec card and it's not working here as well. The Terratec card could be multiclient but sadly the asio drivers make it a monoclient (or should that be a soloclient?) card. I switched the motherboard's onboard soundchip back on, then choose that sounddevice for WMP or Soundforge while using the Terratec solely for Tracktion.

Why do people want to run Tracktion at same time as other stuff anyway? Personally I reboot to my GP boot to do any liscening. lisening! f**k! Spelling module not loading error! Hearing my mp3s playing!
Can't you just save and shut it down? Do you have multi-gigabyte samplers running or somewhat? I don't like farting about with an unsaved project open!

Hi Amoebe. Since you solved the problem with the onboard sound chip I think I'll try that too

Guess when I want to use Sound forge I'll need it

@ Karbon: It is not a problem to shut down Tracktion but when you want to do some tweaking in another program it is not the nicest way to work

Especially when you Control-W an audio clip to automatically open it in your wave editor. That would be a pain in the ass if you had to shut down Tracktion. Luckily I can have all the apps open I want as long as they dont have the same driver.

I've been over this lots of times in this forum. The DMX6 with the latest drivers doesn't function as a multi-client card, but someone told me that older drivers for the dmx6 do. Afraid I can't remember the version, but if you search on posts by me, you should find a reply from someone advising which.
