Instead of K and KU, I wish they could go for something like K Electric, and K Allround

I want the K synths and effects, but have little interest in the piano, organs and that kind of regular rock/pop stuff.

Buying K10 upgrade now, half of the stuff I wouldn't really use.

Best option would be "Build your own Komplete" where users could select what they wanted included in their Komplete.

It's part of Ultimate. Which makes sense, sine they do the same with Razor.

Having something called Komplete ... which isn't .. how does that make sense?
(I've done this before)

SKEW:
NOT-Komplete
SOMEWHAT-Komplete
NEARLY-Komplete
QUASI-Komplete
TOTALLY-Komplete (except what isn't included)
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

Something I agree as a 'cognitive distortion' at best.
Nothing temporal can be termed (K)complete or Omni- without some hubris showing through it all.

+1. I haven't bought into Komplete yet because I don't want or need any of the Sample content at all. Would easily buy into K Elektrik.

The Interesting thing about Komplete is that it started as every product they had. But then started making quite a few sample libraries (or having others make them), which then necessitated Komplete Ultimate to include all their sample content. Komplete was still complete in terms of products at first. Well it didn't have Razor but I guess that could be considered as content rather than full products. But then they mixed it all up because all the reverbs and effects that came out became Komplete Ultimate products so yeah not complete in terms of plug-ins just kind of Komplete-ish. Still an absurd amount of stuff. I can't think of any other product that for the same price for new comers continuously adds so much stuff.

I remember how blown away I was by all the stuff in Komplete 2. It's downright frightening to think of what will be included in a few years. Someone mentioend they wishes there was custom bundles but that's impossible - They couldn't go any cheaper or it would start to get too close to the price of any given product. So it's already kind of a make your own bundle. You just get it all and install what you want.

Yup - that's exactly how I see it.

Again, you're right. Everyone's already itching for Komplete 11 before 10 is even out. Sheesh. What will Komplete 25 be like I wonder?

Exactly. And I am not aware of any condition that exists that says you can't uninstall anything that you don't need, although I'm not sure if you HAVE to install everything in the first place, never checked as I install it all!

You can install just what you want. I have everything installed on the big machine.
But the one I'm loading up next week will be streamlined quite a bit.

I think it is not Komplete by name in reference to their catalog. It is in reference to getting the job done. Komplete does have everything you basically need to create music, and do it quite well. Komplete Ultimate becomes just that in that it expands the realm of your sound, going just beyond the basic.

NI has some fantastic products. And there are some dogs in there as well. I really wish they had the B2 mkII and Pro53 back in the bundle, whether it is ONGOINGLY supported or not (well it would be nice to have Windows 8 x64 and Mavericks supported). I would love to have those again.
