I remember when Komplete used to be a frigging THOUSAND dollars and it was still a great deal. Now its half that and way more content.

I dunno about spoiled. But times are a changing.
To my surprise, there is still an industry for this stuff. I really thought a few years back with the whole "icrap" phase that this stuff wouldn't even be developed much further. Glad to see I was wrong.

To my surprise
K10 did not include Absynth 6 nor Kontakt 6.
The money I had stashed away to buy K10 will now go towards
purchasing the following:
VSTi’s when available
Alchemy 2
Iris 2
Melodyne Editor 3
The Mangler
One or two DAW’s when the updates are available.
Cubase 8
Reaper 6
Studio One 3
Sonar x4
FL Studio 12
BitWig 2
So maybe it is good that I am disappointed at K10.

Looks like that original Dutch shop's prices have gone up more in line with everyone else's. Think the best prices for the UK so far are to import from Thomann with their free shipping - anyone feel free to correct me. Amazon have the product listed, but no price as yet.

They may be released after the launch of K10 though. It wouldn't be the first time they have updated a major version number of a component of Komplete between versions.Kalamata Kid wrote:To my surpriseK10 did not include Absynth 6 nor Kontakt 6.

If so, won't the box, leaflets, included guides etc be in German. And you would get a European plug / transformer for the keyboards.noiseboyuk wrote:Looks like that original Dutch shop's prices have gone up more in line with everyone else's. Digital Village, Dolphin Music and Andertons all have similar prices.

Maybe so for the keyboards - never had an issue with software from them though. It's all multilingual these days.DarkStar wrote:If so, won't the box, leaflets, included guides etc be in German. They actually have a dedicated UK shop now, regularly advertise in SOS etc, even though technically they export to there - it's pretty routine.

I bought my Komplete 8 upgrade from Thomann and (while I haven't got the box with me to check) I'm sure the text on the box was in English (or there were multiple languages). The quick start guides were definitely in multi-language books. The full manuals were on disk - again in multiple languages.DarkStar wrote:If so, won't the box, leaflets, included guides etc be in German. The three new synths are all in basic Komplete - don't bother to install the rest. That upgrade price is still cheaper than buying the three new synths individually.dayjob wrote:will trade you 20 piano sample libraries for 1 molekular.. oh i already own molekular... so.. there's that..

Still not a good enough deal for you?

If the core sample library isn't updated they realy should just do a download update....I probably won't upgrade (I'm on 9) as there is nothing new that excites me, and I really can't be bothered to install 20 DVDs!
That said, I am also a machine owner, and a lot of the komplete kontrol stuff (scales, chords etc) are a free upgrade on maschine OS 2.2, that us cool....
