Magnificence or Meldastic

So am I. But honestly, the name doesn't really matter. What matters is how it sounds, the range of its textural flexibility, the logic and clarity of its workflow, the fine granularity and usability of its control parameters, the externalization of its control mechanisms and its integration into a DAW. It could be called M#$LJIZKR!(* for all I care, although MSynth is still my favorite.goldglob wrote:I'm still for MSynth..timeless...
I tried to move things along with the voting because it seemed to come down to a choice between MSynthMonster and MMonsterSynth. I'm very eager to try the beast and hope it lives up to the monster moniker.
But the idea that a qualifier could be used with it would make future synths easy to name by changing the qualifier. This makes MSynth-Monster better to me than MSynthMonster or MMonsterSynth, but without the hyphen, MMonsterSynth just looks and sounds better. But its odd to qualify a first synth out of the gate "Monster"; it must appeal to Vojtech because it's likely that it's in the Melda style of including an unusual amount of flexibility and complexity under hood. Maybe terms that suggest complexity like Hydra, Complex, Labyrinth, Code, Grid, etc, would be better addons, but then this is almost a generic observation about the "Melda" way of doing things. MSynth on its own does also lend it self well to future versions with simple numerical incrementing.
I'm still of the opinion that it's a crap shoot to find a name for a synth without knowing its sound or the details of its operation; it's why MSynth appealed to me in the first place: it's generic, open-ended, simple, fits into the Melda naming MO, and in its simple way, humble and memorable.

Ok, guys, so most of your arguments DO make sense, yet they are often contradicting
. So to speed things up, it's time to make a decision. So, it will most likely be MMonsterSynth! I like it. It's a monster, which it is, and it is a synth, so the classical MeldaProduction paradigm holds.
