Hi all,

I could see on soundcloud that some do believe that I bend the rules too much with my starting sound. :o
In my opinion this is not the fact! Therefore you can download a ZIP-file from my website:
http://www.astroimages.at/musik/Talking.zip

I named this sound "talking" . In the ZIP-file you can find:
- screenshots from the ODsay settings and from the EQ and FX.
- the preset in vstpreset- and fbx-format
- and a MP3, starting with the raw sound, then with EQ and last with EQ and satturation.

I think the biggest difference to the raw sound makes the EQ, bossting to frequencies to increase some format-frequencies. The satturation only adds some grit and dirt.

It's sad how anytime anyone comes up with a nice vox patch people jump all over them with accusations of cheating. Responding with a thorough and useful tutorial like that is a very mature response! Also, while I never doubted you... awesome is as awesome does... I nevertheless found the mp3 very interesting because the talking character is 100% there in the dry patch. Really cool patch. Thanks for sharing!

Photonic could take it as a compliment for his sound design skills :hihi:

To avoid any counfusion, I used no sampled cats: all organic and cyber cats were 100% synthesized! :D

I dunno, I would like to take you word for it, but they are pretty convincing sounds. How hard would it be to fly to tokyo and sample the cyber cats there at a robot convention

@Photonic - excellent work with the vocoder-like patch. I never questioned your abilities with this as you've time and again proven your mastery of The Synth! And thanks for sharing this :tu: :)
@Animehaus - miaow did you make that sound?

Post

@mysticvibes - Not to mention that Brazil has the largest Japanese community outside Japan, so it would be a piece of cake to get a cyber cat around here... oops, secret revealed.

@RichardSemper - Yeah, mate, and being an anime fan, doing a cat girl cosplay at the same time.

Just finished creating a video for this month's entry in case anyone is interested. View in HD for best results!

Time and again, Photonic has proven to be a really good synth tweaker, so no need to check for me. He always gets awesome sounds and on request, shares them with everyone long before any OSC deadline. :tu:
Besides that, we've got an excellent admin who will know what to do if someone should want to stretch the rules.

If i would have enough money, i would buy it. It's a nice addition for making abstract videos for your own music.
Maybe i will purchase it in the future.

Have a nice day and thanks :)
