Is KVR a white music board?

I know this may sound odd, but sometimes I get the impression that KVR is mainly a white music board (despite the weight of black music in the US, the single biggest market). For instance when listening to the music people make for OSC or on other occasions, it is mostly synth stuff, Jarre the next generation, pop, EDM, etc. Or when they ask how to make this or that sound, it is almost always from white genres.

Do black people have their own boards, like an R&B board? I was looking for one, but didn't really find anything useful...

I'd say kvr is predominately white. You might check gearslutz where they have a hiphop subforum.
But that could be filled with white guys, too, don't know.

KVR used to be darker, but during the upgrade last Christmas, the default theme became much lighter. Not really white, maybe a very light blue, so it's possibly a Scottish board (that's a BIlly Connolly joke, before anybody starts snapping at me!).

I will check that out I don't mind whether the people making the music are black or white or green, I am talking about the music itself, and thus also the technical side, like specific plugins, production advice, sound sets etc. After all, I am white myself, but musically speaking I consider myself black

Why is it weird?
I just feel like black music is a world of its own, and it is more or less missing on KVR. I would feel more at home there, being among people who also like what I like, etc.
Since KVR is more than only about technology (which I assume is mostly the same anyway no matter which modern genre), musical taste is kind of important to me. Sometimes I feel like a basketball fan on an ice hockey message board

After all one of the biggest Hophip stars around is as white as it can get.

I know some people consider it non-pc, but isn't it a fact that many ethnic groups have their own music, which is easily recognizable? Just think of Indian (as in Asian Indian) music.

That's something I could study more and reflect in my music! Great idea! I'd been reading some of their old myths. Maybe some of that too. This gets me motivated

Sure it's a fact, but you didn't really ask about “ethnic“ music forums, but you were dividing the genre of pop music into black and white which I in my little world consider to be obsolete. We have a lot of black opera singers, we have white guys still trying to play the blues, we have white Hophippers, black conductors of orchestras, yellow classical pianists, white gamelan players and much more...
