Why no love for Structure in this thread? :(

It's on par with STank 3 contentwise, shipping with 37GB+

I've been impressed with the breath of Structure, and quality of it's presets and effects. To be honest I rarely use acoustic samples, so would be interested to see how people think it compares with the likes of ST3 & Kontakt.

I can't find a great deal on Xpand!2 - I guess because it's been a default Protools plugin. The demo sounds on Air's website sounded a little dated to me, but then I found a couple of videos on YouTube which included some gorgeous layered sounds. As a $39 cross-grade from the expansion pack it would seem a no brainer for 3000 quick dial-in presets.

I love it's sound and the samples seem to be very good quality. However I'm a bit confused. The Database doesn't show that many presets even when I have selected ALL.
Does that mean that there are samples but I need to create my own patches?
For example Bass / Acoustic shows only 1 preset:

Is this right or am I missing something...

edit.
I just checked and my acoustic bass folder is the same, but many many presets in the electric bass & synth bass folders.

Maybe it is like Alchemy, in that you have to install a small separate file for presets? :?

Yea I think my install is fine then. Just seems weird with that amount of hard drive space they are taking, even though they sound good. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Can anyone send me air.db file? My database is not working. I downloaded Structure twice and installed three times already.

C:\Program Files (x86)\AIR Music Technology\Common\air.db

Thanks EvilDragaon. I got the database listed but could not load them.

Probably because the .db file has absolute paths written in it. So that will work only on my computer... But try and refresh the database and see how it goes?

Please know someone if is iLok required to use Air instruments?
Everytime I install iLok on my PC, it behaves crazy (graphic driver not respond messages, when used iLok protected plugin in cubase it randomly crash even if I only add new track...). I discovered AIR instruments this week, they sounds good and I would like to buy it (probably whole bundle), but if it requires iLok, this are no instruments for me.

Post

AIR instruments are using soft iLok authorization. No need for actual dongle.

Post

iLok SW and HW driver is what makes problems to me. Doesn't matter if license requires dongle or not. I am little bit confused now, becouse KB on their site says, that ilok isn't required and "Authorization for all AIR virtual instruments occurs in the application, when opening the plugin for the first time."

Post

If iLok makes problems for you, I would say it's your computer configuration that's not tuned well enough. I've never had any problems with iLok drivers, at all.

Post

I believe currently only Riser uses software iLok. Although, I understand there's a plan to migrate other Air plugins to to the same. This topic is discussed earlier in the thread with Simon.
