This is wrong.Kindred wrote:This looks really cool. Xils software is all NFR from memory so this is not an option for me but will keep an eye out for if/when this policy changes and I will check this out again.
You can sell. There's no fee, except whatever you have to pay for an ilok ($25) or elicenser transfer. Been that way for as long as I've been a customer, which is a few years now.

Thanks audientronic, that's exactly the rules (which didn't change from the beginning)audientronic wrote:This is wrong.Kindred wrote:This looks really cool. Hi Xavier,
On 25 Sept 2013 you sent me an email saying that because of something to do with elicensors I couldn't ever transfer my license to anyone else - has this changed? If so that would be cool!
cheers

Hi Kindred,
No, this hasn't change : A physical shipment of a eLicenser, holding the license you need to transfer, is required.
Unlike iLok, eLicenser doesn't manage license transfer through there server.
There is also no possibility to delete a license from a eLicenser, so I can't even manage this myself (2 years ago, some news let me think that this latter feature could be done, opening more possibilities, but I'm still waiting for this !)
So to summarize:
_ iLok protected products transfer: around $25 fee from PACE, no fee from Xils-lab
_ eLicenser protected products : physical eLicenser exchange (so around 16€ for a single eLicenser, meaning almost the same price than PACE), no fee from Xils-lab
_ serial protected products : no fee from Xils-lab or from others.
Best regards
Xavier

So in short :
All Xils products can be resold. Xils doesnt take A Single Cent when transferring licences.

The Xils 4 now belongs to the very select 5 stars synthesizers Club in Music Radar/Computer Music reviews :
"People walked into the studio and thought we were playing one of our old analogue synths and not an emulation"
And the conclusion :
" Incredibly realistic analogue emulation. It sounds great. Amazing attention to detail. Every parameter lovingly re-created. Great sound library and extra features for complete sonic control. "

This was transmitted to me as "MusicRadar-CM" review by our PR, hence the confusion, sorry for that. ( I corrected the title of the thread )
Probably because MusicRadar, Future Music and Computer Music all belong to the same *group*.
Nice to hear that Computer Music will also make its own review of the Xils 4.

Computer Music magazine gave Xils 4 a very good review.
The only dings were things like some tabs on the interface might be difficult for beginners to navigate and the synth has three main panels but only two are available at one time. Pfft... it is like the reviewer had to stretch to find something to list as a "con".
I own Oxium and V+ licenses and have been planning to get PolyKB II next but now I am not so sure

Sorry to ask this as it may have been mentioned before but will there ever be a plan to release this and the other synths without having to use a dongle. I would love to buy this one and in the future the other synths if it wasn't for the dongle, I know companies now use the elicence or ilok computer software which I don't mind at all.
Cheers

Great work Xils!! You deserve 5 stars for that synth, because it's a beast.

ThanksaMUSEd wrote:Well deserved review - is an update imminent? I would like to see the full gui, it gets confusing changing from one to another (plus a bugfix for the joystick?)
I would not say imminent for the large GUI, but it will come. Xils 4 must remain compliant with some Laptops screens, hence the 3 in 2 concept. But for those who can have very hi resolutions, the large screen will be a delight. ( JS could you remind me where the bug lies please ? Its an inversion somewhere iirc ? )

Yes, the joystick XY coordinates are the opposite of what they are in XILs3 which means I keep having to change the cc's on my joystick as there is no way to invert the XY coordinates in the plugin.Lotuzia wrote:aMUSEd wrote: ( JS could you remind me where the bug lies please ?
