There's nothing to for me to deal with. I was just offering my opinion.mhog wrote:deal with it".
Melda can take it or leave it. Makes no difference to me.

I think it's a good thing for Melda to stick with it's MXyz nomenclature. Thats an element to recognize melda stuff. And MonsterSynth fits this thing well I think.
See it positive, guys

MSynth, then (the perfect synthesis), without "monster". Why "monster"?!CableChannel wrote:I think it's a good thing for Melda to stick with it's MXyz nomenclature. Thats an element to recognize melda stuff. And MonsterSynth fits this thing well I think.

Yeah MSynth would be good as well. Maybe less pompous, but more lean like other Melda stuff. But lotsa people votet for MMonsterSynth so it can't be too bad, can it?

As Andywanders said, image and marketing are important. That "monster" sounds toyish, redundant and at the same time sycophant, for its double meaning (positive as "great" or negative as "sucks"). All sounds stattering.
But the ways of marketing are infinite. See Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother" sleeve cover with the funny stupid cow telling us "f#%k off"...

Well, personally I don't particularly like either name, but I voted MMonsterSynth because I slightly preferred it over MSynthMonster. At the end of the day though, I don't care what it's called. I'll be checking it out regardless, because I know Melda are forward thinking so it's highly likely this will have some deep synthesis capabilities, and hopefully a sound to match.MeldaProduction wrote:Exactly!CableChannel wrote:Yeah MSynth would be good as well. Whenever I see an advert for a synth the name has no influence over me whatsoever... it's the specifications that pique my interest, or not, then I'll demo it if I like what I'm seeing.

I prefer something simpler like the earlier mentioned Msynth
or something like Mwave or Moscilot (synth-animal hybrid)

Yes, if they're going for a really tacky name how about MmuttsnutsSatch1 wrote: Well, personally I don't particularly like either name, but I voted MMonsterSynth because I slightly preferred it over MSynthMonster.

The Muther ________ Synth is more creative it allows people to get creative with their own words using the fill in the blank area. Name one synth out there with a fill in the blank area as part of their name. There isn't one. They could just use a symbol and no name at all kind of like Prince and also be unique but then nobody would know what to ask for.

sorry to burst your balloon, but use Monster in the name and MonsterCable will sue you!
-- Anyone remembers the case of the MiniMonsta ? ... if I remember well it was originally to be called MiniMonster, until MonsterCable came in and sued the company, forcing them to change the name -- that's why it ended up being called "miniMonsta".
