I don't think it's bad depth perception, I think it's because it was slippy.

Yep...if he got a grip he prolly would have made the leap. Hmmm....there seems to be a moral in that thought too.

Either way, it wasn't well thought out.

I prefer to believe there was a net or landing or something immediately below that prompted the cat to believe it was a safe jump and that all turned out great. For the cat and for those that had the opportunity to laugh at one of life's little pleasures.

Since I believe that cat was unharmed it reminds me of something Wiley Cotoye would do while Roadrunner gives that look of amazement and shakes his head.

Bleepy Beep Beep.

(Can't do that Roadrunner sound in print but you get the idea.)

I posted something way back in the Saturday thread with a cat jumping from the top of a phone pole.

Once it hit ground...on its feet...it took off like a shot...
