Took an hour to finally beat the server traffic....and less that an hour after install to uninstall.

.
@MeldaProduction:

Would you consider releasing a 'beta' version of MPowerSynth that is functional until October 20th (the deadline for the presets making?)

That way we can have the full lenght period for making the presets instead of just 14 days.

GUI is very unstable for me. Chunks of it keep dissapearing ... I'm on 32 bit XP, Live 9.1.4

No offence, but it's "less than", not "less that". (I presume English isn't your first language.)

You can't even allow him the possibility than it might have been just a typo? ;)
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

Definitely gets the award for the slowest server I've encountered in a long time.

Some questions:

1.) How do I get a polyphonic envelope modulation source? I'm using the mod slots but the envelope there seems to be monophonic, that is, it triggers only once. Even worse, it triggers only on the first note and ignores all other notes as long as the first note is held in. We definitely need a couple of polyphonic envelopes. Also the LFOs need to have an option of being polyphonic (triggered by midi to start). These are completely standard features in many synths.

2.) How do I easily assign midi velocity to parameters? (I'd like to add velocity scaling to the envelope modulation source output so that it controls the amount of envelope modulation through velocity, very common technique).

3.) Why is there no volume parameter per oscillator?

4.) Where's the panning per oscillator?

5.) Where can I set the overall polyphony of a preset?

6.) Why can't I force an oscillator to be monophonic while another oscillator is set to polyphonic? (basically the 'Global' tab should exist in every oscillator section)

7.) Why is the Cutoff slider not called cutoff and measured in Hz? Why the need to use strange new names and odd descriptors when we have been using the same naming scheme for things since early 1970's ?

8.) Why do some of the filters reveal new parameters that do absolutely nothing? (bug in the Sub-X filers? Character and character range does absolutely nothing)

Some extremely basic features are missing which makes the already high 249 euros seem very strange. To be completely frank, at the moment, having had a play with it, I just don't see it being 249 euros of value. It's difficult to program through it's convoluted GUI. Basic features are missing or extremely well hidden. During the simple 1 hour testing I got numerous loud spikes at the audio output, forcing me to use reapers "automatic channel mute" feature. I understand that this is a beta so hopefully things improve quite a bit.

On the positive side, CPU usage was good. Oscillators do indeed sound good and there are some quite interesting filters. The effects section has a lot of potential for awesome tweaking and sound manipulation.

Cheers!

Opening the filter...

Like the roundness (the blob) though in this example it's really not tweaked to 'perfection'. But the capability is there. :tu:

The echo you hear is the Rhythmizer repeating the higher frequencies (fed by the crossover module in the FX section).

Asked it myself. And agree to the fact that standard functions are well hidden, so to speak.
