Bladerunner would be forgettable without the soundtrack.

Hold the phone, what about Yanni, or better yet, Zamfir!SODDI wrote: And, of course, Skrillex is the only fit replacement for Vangelis on soundtrack duties. They both only got one name.

I read somewhere that Skrillex can use a mouse and keyboard at the same time.
Impressive stuff for such a young talent.

Oh what, Zamfir isn't good enough for you? He's a real musician you know. He doesn't just press a button and, poof, out comes a finished track, he does his music the old fashioned way, ONE NOTE AT A TIME!SODDI wrote:Y'all are forcing me to start another thread....

Actually... did anyone of you thought that Daft Punk would create a fitting soundtrack (score) for "Tron Legacy"?
Or BT for the movie "Stealth"?
You'll never know what new(er) musicians might come up with - considering what type of instruments and plugins we have at our disposal these days. It can be over-produced modern crap, or retro sounding synth work. And I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised with Tron Legacy.

I wasn't paying attention to those soundtracks. I was too focused on how bad they were as films.
One good thing if they used shrillex is that they wouldn't have to actually score the film. Just copy/paste from the 50-60 "tunes" he has and there you are...no one would know the difference (though he'd get an oscar likely)
