Just having a quick play with the demo. It seems to be the real deal...

Playing in HostingAU with the computer keyboard, and I'm getting hanging notes when changing parameters like waveforms, line modes etc while holding a note down with the (qerty) keyboard. And once a note hangs, it can't be silenced - even switching presets doesn't reset the notes, so you have to unload then reload VCZ to stop the hanging notes (or maybe if your host has a Panic switch it'll come in handy).

Not that this is typical usage, of course, I was just eager to give it a spin...

hi,

qwerty keys are a pain, because the noteoff can get lost when the plugin gets focus! There is a panic button though - click the MIDI activity LED to the right of the LCD.

Downloaded the Demo..... love the sound. If I had the money(or credit) I would buy without hesitation. Unfortunately I haven't had funds for anything but rent, food, and utilities. Tempted to try living on bread and water.

Anyone know where I can find the CZ-101 factory Sysex so I can try the original patches on my laptop? There are no factory presets on the software...

Otherwise I will wait till the weekend to set it up(the demo) properly on my studio pc where I have a CZ-101 but to tired after work tonight...

hi do you mean no Casio factory presets? We didn't include them because they are Casio's content and it didn't feel right... but i have already converted them and will upload when i have a spare moment.

Thanks - please do, I can see the VirtualCZ can send patches but not sure if it can recieve from the CZ-101, I want to try it with the original 16 presets to check the authenticity of the emulation, at the weekend I will want to also try a direct comparison with the hardware before a purchase
