First of all he seems to be a drummer and a mathematician. That's a suspicious combo if you know what I mean... :D

I always thought that would have been the best ending/explanation in the Matrix trilogy. Borrow from Hyperion. Humans are batteries? Why not use cows? I imagine a cow matrix would be much easier to code and maintain.

Hey, I have a deal. I'll rewrite your manual and do some presets for a free copy. :D

Haa???? Sure, create 25 presets and you got it, but does manual have to do with it?? :o

I just checked the new beta and am happy to report that the PWM now works as expected. :)

And not only that; the sound itself practically doesnt even register on the CPU now, even though the Quality settings are on Extreme and Ultra.

Nicely done. :)

Couple of things though.

1) The Immediate Release button on the Globals page doesnt seem to do anything. Whether on or off, there is no difference in Release behavior.

2) Enabled and Disabled states of the Immediate Release button on Filter1 seem to be swapped.

3) When the Sustain on an envelope is set to Silence, the waveform display jumps from flat to a saw-like jag. (Click thumbnail to view animation.)

Making that one PWM Bass is all ive done so far, so thats all i can report for now. However, now that the PWM works without grilling my processor im sure that i will spend some more time with the synth over the weekend. If i find anything else i will let you know.

As for presets; are you at all interested in any classic stuff? Like stuff that people used to make on Jupiters, Prophets, Junos, etcetera? Im asking because thats what i usually make when i test a new synth, which means i will probably have quite a few of those pretty soon.

PS: Attached that PWMBass i just made. Obviously its not what youd call a complexity monster, still i like what i hear very much since the synths PWM character is actually very good. Next i will probably try a CS-80 style PWMSAW Brass/Pad.

Very well, thanks for the info!

ADSR immediate release: the immediate release does NOT change the release stage - it defines when the release stage can start. Set Decay to 10000ms, that's a long decay! (or attack for that matter..) Now if you press a key with the "Immediate release" off, it will really wait the 10 seconds and then the release stage starts. If it is on however, the release stage occurs as soon as you really release the key. That's reasonable in most cases, but for filters for example it is not - the filter would react to key release, which may or may not be wanted. That's why the defaults for filters are the opposite.

ADSR decay sustain 0dB: Well, think about it this way - if the sustain is 0dB, then there is no release stage! But what if the immediate release is on and you release the key sooner than the decay finishes - then there WILL be a release stage. But how to visualise? :D So again, it's not a bug, it's a way to display proportionally how the release stage looks (also it is used by the engine this way, long story :D ).

Classic stuff - sure, please go ahead ;).

I see.

Thing is i tend to take such things literally, so when a button says Immediate Release i expect something like a bypass of the release stage. And since the one on the filter pretty much behaved like that...

Well, no matter. That was only the first 20 minutes and one quick sound, so i obviously have a lot to check out yet. Probably no time tonight, but i should have some time tomorrow and on sunday. Then i can take a look at the manual too.

Thanks for the explanations. Appreciated. :)

No problem! And good luck ;). Looking forward to your presets ;).

Two more things, but this time i will make it a question, just in case. :D

1) The EQ has a button labeled 'Fill'. Normally such a button toggles between outline and filled spectrum. In this case, the button does nothing, except enabling the Analyzer button if not already on. Bug or another misinterpretation on my part?

2) In the Destroyer section of the Distortion module, there is a parameter labeled 'Demohlisher'. Did you have a special reason to name it that way or did you just accidentally misspell 'Demolisher'?

New Test Preset: See attachment. Classic Acid/House Square, consisting of a 50:50 square with a touch of reverb and EQ. Its proper name should probably be 'Roomy Hollow Square Bass', but SquareBass1 had to suffice for now. :D Sounds very smooth and pleasing here on my 18" woofers, even in the very low registers.

Well, not to be too mean, but it's pretty clear that English isn't your first language.

I also made a bunch of rather classic sounds. It's always good to have a variety of them. Sylenth has about a gazillion trance leads and supersaw pads, and each one is slightly different and it's good to have a choice to find one which fits in your song best and which is not the same as in every other song.

We non-natives understand his language. :P ;)

I'd rather opt for ironing out typos and missing icons/texts.

So, what's up, Vojtech: I find 25 corrections and get a czech manual MPower license for free? :D

When first trying MPowerSynth I thought that this was yet another regular subtractive synth, nothing new, no big deal, no surprises, plus the typical non-stylish Melda GUI (some even say ugly, sorry :D )

The more I played with it the more fascinated I got. It takes time to discover that the possibilities are really huge! The MXXX effects engine is really the core of its power. Plus the usual Melda modulate-anything-you-want attitude that we are accustomed to. Now after less than a week I am truly addicted to this.

Workflow is as fast as than anything I own so far, if not faster.

Conclusion: I love it :-) :-) :-)

I would rather vote for more (also technical) details on many things like filter characteristics and several functionalities which are explained only extremely briefly in the manual right now.

Don't know if these are features or bugs, but what I find confusing (:

1) Attaching a midi controller to a multiparameter.

Multiparameter 1 is controlled by the Mod wheel by default. Now, if I attach Velocity (on) to control Multiparameter 2, it will control Multiparameter 1 as well. Seems strange. Next, if I remove Multiparameter 1 from the list on the left side of MIDI SETTING, while CONTROLLER has Velocity (on) selected, the velocity won't control Multiparameter 1 anymore, but as a side effect, Mod wheel won't control M1 either. Is this how it's supposed to be?

2) If Global ADSR has IMMEDIATE RELEASE selected, Sustain level is above silence and Release time is 0 ms (or near), there will be a audible pop at the end of the sound. Edit: It seems the Immediate release is not actually necessary to cause the pop. This can be reproduced by opening the Sine preset and just setting the global ADSR release time near 0.
