Look, did it ever occur to anyone who fights the fight for vst support that you end up sounding like a whiner?? Never mind the closed mindedness towards anything different.

I have Reason here as well as a number of other daws and rewire works fine for my needs.

The drive for vst support seems more like the cry...everything must be the same!! Whaaaaa!!!
No, its far from being a matter of wanting everything the same. It's a matter of not wanting to get robbed from a company with ego problems.

And no one's whining. Experienced people are letting their opinions be known.

You shouldn't let it bother you.

Troll:

you have 22 posts on this forum.

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM are negative posts on one subject only: Propellerheads Reason

This disqualifies you from claiming any sort of neutrality. perhaps your opinions have some merit, but it doesn't matter. you haven't given any indication that you are anything other than a troll with a specific target. the only "experience" that you have, apparently, is in trolling propeller heads.

And for the record, I'm a Reason user contemplating selling my license due to this rip-off of an upgrade. but I'm not here bitching about it. Propellerheads have always done their own thing, when I was a fan, it was due to that fact. when I have raged, it was due to that fact. either way, though, I'm glad they exist.
Typical.

You'd say troll just because my opinions don't line up with yours. I'm sorry if some of my posts have been REBUTTALS......

Read that again. Most all of my posts have been rebuttals. I don't start threads.

Not everyone is going to agree with you, and that doesn't make them trolls.

Also, Mr. Detective, I've posted well over 500 times here in years past. I just have a new account.
You are not myrna are you?

Every time a Reason thread would show up he would come in with the exact same complaints you have.

Do you have Reason yourself or are you just here to stir up the pot?
I'm definitely not that person. I actually lost which email account my other one was associated with, and I think over the years I've had like 3 accounts now. I do own Reason and have since V4.

And I'm not stirring the pot. I swear, Reason people are like, insane over that kind of thing. Whenever you speak critically about the program, die-hard fans light up like the worlds on fire. You can let them know you're an audio engineer for a living and some 20 yr old will still try to correct you about how "awesome" Reason is when the kids never even been in a studio.

So no. There's an extreme difference in stirring the pot and having experience and knowing what you're talking about. I consider myself in the latter category. You don't have to. But it's really easy to spot someone who doesn't know what's going on in the DAW world and is just blindly following a product.

Is this based on your awsome experience?

At least they're not whining about other hosts they don't use.
And I bet they're able to make music. Are you?

Why on Earth would you single that quote out and take issue? That's......a weird quote to hinge on. Yes, it is from experience. I don't want to be taken advantage of. That's not so hard to understand is it?

So who are you to say I'm whining??? Who are you to say that? I'm not whining, I'm giving my opinion!

Why are YOU whining at me about my opinion??

I wonder if Props will release the Softube amps as paid RE's ? It's a double-edged sword. If they do, this means many people will never have to upgrade again. Considering Reason's user base is electro-centric, a lack of guitar/bass amps is of no pressing concern. The downside of course is that in the long term, they will lose any hope of securing new customers who are multi-disciplined in their creative, when the Line6 amps are gone.

Now that is more of a concern. Hope that does not happen.

Why would it be a concern at all? They sold Audiomatic separately for 6.5 users even though it came free with 7. I would be surprised if they didn't sell the new Softube amps separately for 7.0 users...

@KarmaShaman - i sort of agree with you... Rack Extensions are the key... there are RE that are going to come along when one may need to purchase as update...i believe the A-List Guitar you need Reason 7... i.e. if one is on Reason 6.5 they cant demo it... back to the new customers... think about when you first started... you needed everything under the sun... remember... same holds true here... individuals purchase Reason... without going thru the factory sound bank... they are ready to purchase more/RE... remember when you first started... or a new Reason user... "i just got Reason... what are the best RE"... again... one new user = 3 updates... add the fact... a new user more than likely will want to or purchase RE... i guess what i am saying... in my opinion i think Props business model is geared towards "new" customers... and the "ole" customers are the gravy... i.e. come along if you want to... there were 1001 new producers born today... and anther 1001 tomorrow!!! :D

forgot to add... i have only purchased one RE... Predator...

I think that Sonar X1/2/3 with their ProChannel idea is practically the same issue. But it is all for the good!!!!
