Zebra's is a tad better, Alchemy's acoustic reverb is definitely better, (that Camel space is unusable anyway) Diversion's reverb is also a tad better as it has much nicer modulations to cover it's weaknesses, Spectral's reverb is about as mediocre.Sparky77 wrote:Agreed, I don't know many synths that have great built in reverbs.quantum7 wrote:
Luckily I rarely use the built-in reverb on synths. Using B2 or Valhalla usually sounds soooo much better.
It would be nice but perhaps to much to expect.
In this case, since Serum does sound excellent, it creates high expectations of the effects.
How do you think the reverb compares to say, Zebras Verb?

Maybe he is running FL as administrator? Drag & Drop is not working because of security reasons if the DAW is running with administrator privileges.bitcrusher wrote:I don't understand this, I can drag multiple files from Windows Explorer to Serum, running inside FL.. Still works here running as Admin. Another thing to try would be the "Detatched" or "Bridged" options in the FL title bar for Serum (though neither are needed here).
Yes, as you noticed it's saved in patches which is intended to be a feature. I could make a preference to 'always use default choice for 2d/3d view on patch load'. I'll add it to the requests list. Can we have global options to say if we want to see the 3D view for waves?

i tried detached...it didnt have any effect. as for "bridged" there is no "bridged" in the drop down options, so as for now im assuming you meant "or" as in either or?bitcrusher wrote:Maybe he is running FL as administrator? Maybe FL works a bit different with this bridging stuff... I only now that with Cubase, Reaper etc. Drag & Drop is not working from outside, if the DAW is running as admin. If you already run as user the opposite would be to test to run FL as admin

merp...ill try updating.bitcrusher wrote:I guess you should update FL, I have 2.4.34 showing there. I'd recommend taking the issue up with FL because I don't think your issue is Serum specific but more between FL and the OS (you could try dragging explorer files to another plug-in such as Kontakt to verify that).

wow its really good. Im also a hardware fan but this has a very premium feel to it...I just put in a PWM wave from my OB8 and it just processed it and I set up a PWM in Serum! Very cool.
One small question - I see it automatically pans the unison voices - where is the controller for this in case we feel like manipulating it?

I am officially going to nominate Steve as best customer support in the business. A couple of years back he sorted a problem for me in 10 minutes and this time it took 10 minutes again - amazing. For some reason, even after installing the proper bought version, only the demo was showing up in Cubase. Sorted with a reinstall.
Amazing sounding synth. Each month I say "no more plugins" and then this happens...

I like the ability to get several "movements" occurring simultaneously.
Very good for Ambient and Soundtrack stuff.
