After my dog ate up my Sennheiser hd280, I'm still looking for a good studio headphone.
I just found the Grado RS1 and AKG K1000 on the internet and I wonder if they're any good for mastering my (dance) mixes.
They're expensive but they seem so great to me, that I'm willing to pay the big bucks.

djones - I doubt *very* much that people aren't replying because your post is in the "wrong" forum.
Actually, I would contest that this is the correct forum, since the headphones are such an integral part of your (and many others') DAW setup.
Unfortunately, I can't help on your headphones issue. I use a pair of JVC HA-D600s. They're not very good

A friend of mine has got the AKGs and I like them (almost needless to say, he likes them as well).
Can't say much more about it. Myself, I have a pair of Sennheiser's HD25 and think they are so-so-ish. I often find them to be too closed. Nice to search for nasty details in your midrange frequencies, not too great to mix on them.

There are 3 kinds of people:

This pair seems very nice for mastering because of it's very accurate frequency response.
Could a pair of these small headphones be any good for production.
