looking for cheap music-player mobile phone

I'm looking for a cheap mobile phone (doesn't need to be a 'smartphone') which can also play music.

Currently I have the Nokia C1-02

which actually fits all my needs - except one (for me) drastic flaw:
I can't simply navigate to a folder of mp3's and play that folder.
I would have to deal with mp3 tags and/or playlists which I hate.

So my needs would be:

- MicroSDHC card slot (32 GB)
- Basic functions: calendar, alarm
- 3,5mm headphone jack
- ability to play folders of mp3's (important)

Any recommendations ?

I think the Sony phones are pretty good for stuff like that. Can't tell you which model, but some of them have the walkman label, and should have pretty good audio quality. On the other hand, every low price Android phone should have pretty good audio nowadays. The chips in there are getting better and better. I have a Motoroloa Moto G, and the audio quality is as good as on my old iPod, if not better.

Cheap as in service? May be only a USA company but Republic Wireless has phones ranging $99-$299 and service is $29 a month for unlimited talk, text, and 6 gigs of data. Free roaming for talk and text and 200 MB of roaming data a month.
