Are the presets part of the download?
Yes

I'm just in the beginning stages of composing my next New Age album and always could use some inspirational sounds. I'm going to buy it anyway, but just want to know if I should get it now, or wait until next month.
FWIW, I have been doing some ambient stuff lately and I really like Bazille for that kind of stuff. The bit that I'm working on now is just Bazille and Battery. Bazille almost instantly became my favorite bass synth but now it's creeping up on Diva for favorite pad synth as well. There is a lot of opportunity for subtle motion in sounds via the digital aspects of the oscillators that you really can't get, at least not easily, from pure analogue (modeled) oscillators.

Totally different synths :o
You might want to ask yourself what kind of synth you are looking for first (apart from one that sounds great) to make the final decision :)
Which is why I want both. The having to choose bit comes down to personal finances and the fact they are both on special offer at the moment.
Bazille at its introductory price then, as it will never again be this low.
Xfer has sales - right?
Nah, as far as I know, Xfer doesn't have sales.

I'm in the same situation actually, just got Serum, but Bazille looks like a bargain as wel... Hmmmm, choices, choices ;)

Buy Bazille, try it out for 6 months, if it is not your thing, you can sell it and most def get your money back ;)

I have both, Bazille is the one that surprises me more with what it is capable of, it feels more revolutionary musically, and deeper. Serum is good, but more evolutionary, building on what several other synths do already (including Zebra and Massive) - albeit with some great new twists, but also feels less finished in some respects and the presets don't blow me away like Bazille's do.

thanks so much for the different sizing options, on a 4K monitor it is very useful!

I really like that it's modular. As was said a few posts up... it's fun wiring things up and seeing what you can come up with. I may get Serum before the sale period is up as I really love wavetable synthesis, but if for whatever reason I don't then (for me at least) Bazille was the first choice.
Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Just checking some of the patches, there is so much to learn for me :hihi:

Very nice - reminiscent of if I survive by Hybrid.

I guess i am going to be first one to say - i am not finding it that much special :?

It's a nice synth with nice presets and that's it.Yeah modular yadayada. It just doesn't float my boat. At least not like Zebra or Diva did..

Oh well...

Post

Is this more CPU heavy than what is DIVA? if so i dont going even test this soon.

Post

No,I don't find it more CPU-heavy than DIVA. On my DAW (Intel 2600K) some patches need to run in multi-core mode when HQ-mode is on. The same applies to DIVA though.
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

I felt similar at first and hadn't done much with it until recently, even though I've had the beta installed for some time now. You really have to get down with the oscillators to get the "magic" out of it.
