i would n t mind if it take 2 times that cpu for sounding even better
a top cpu cost nothing compared to hardware synth and gears..even if cpu is not everyhting on the quality of software we have compromise on plugs quality cause all the moaning.

Picked this up blind as a 'new job' treat today. So, so happy I did. One of my favourite sounds (although one that hasn't made it into a track in years) is pure filter self-oscillation, with the tiniest touch of noise set to modulate the cutoff frequency in addition to keytracking. It's nearly always the first thing I try on synths that can do it. I've never heard it sound as organic and alive as it does in Bazille. Wonderful!

Bought it like a week ago when it was in beta, already looking like a go to synth for years to come. Not just powerful and great sounding but FUN, it appeals to the mad scientist inside

It's almost too easy to make music with this new modular wonder! Here's another demo I put together this afternoon, in an ambient mood:

I really like the presets they all sound diferent to me. If you're looking for Omnisphere thickness and wow you need to layer two u-he synths together as that's how Omnisphere and many others do it.
Far more presets for all u-he synths can be had here http://www.u-he.com/PatchLib/

I've been trying not to purchase either. Zeroing in on K10U as soon as an out of state dealer has it available. I've also had this beta and barely come up with less than ten patches. And I don't think they're good enough to share (or even keep). I seem to want it more for its possible educational value to me though and the lure of 1700 presets hooked me. And yeah, no matter what anyone thinks, every synth begins with checking out the presets first. Okay, so there were a few I would put in my same basket of not worthy to me, but one's trash is another's treasure, right? There is enough treasure in it all for me to not be disappointed with the purchase though. And those presets give me a place to start tweaking until I can get a better hang of this modular on steroids. I'll see where that gets me in the next six months before making any decision of its necessity, but for now, I'm more than okay with it, and even more impressed with it than what I've come up with on it.jacqueslacouth wrote:I've been procrastinating on purchases a bit lately….there was no ummmming and Ahhhhing over this one although maybe there should have been. I know this is probably well out of step with the consensus view at KVR, but I am very much and unashamedly a prest user and I get excited by synths with truckloads of presets by sound designers of high repute. After spending more time with Bazille this morning, I actually feel the presets are pretty repetitive and often (to my ears) lacking any wow factor. And before everyone starts jumping up and down to slap me telling me that Bazille is not about the presets, clearly some thought that it was at least partly about presets to include so many…..just a bit disappointed.
(My favorites are mostly Howard's - no surprise there.)

Yeah, I've really wanted to like it, especially with the intro pricing, but I find the sounds I've made with it just aren't in my wheel house at this time. As time goes on and my music production matures, I may find Bazille having a spot in my already too-crowded soft synth bunch. But I make enough money where not getting the intro discount won't kill me if I decide to give it a go at that point. Granted, I haven't checked it out since the presets were added, they might do something to convince me better the sounds it's capable of are something I could use now. But the truth of the matter is, what I've heard from it so far isn't enough incentive to even want to be tempted at this point. I've got more than enough hardware and software synths to make some incredible music. Now, I just need the talentdb3 wrote:No you're not alone....doesn't do it for me either.kmonkey wrote:I guess i am going to be first one to say - i am not finding it that much specialIt just doesn't float my boat. Zebra and Diva on the other hand, definitely do it for me. My go to softies for sure, along with Monark.
But congrats u-He! You're certainly doing nothing but further enhancing your already stellar reputation!

Well, I tried the demo and turned off HQ mode, still relatively high CPU, and virtually none of the presets impressed me (I only use presets). I then loaded up Sylenth to compare, and the preset packs I have sounded way better and more useful to me than almost everything in Bazille - there are loads of pretty poor presets in there. Hundreds of them, in fact, to my ears. Just my two pence worth, you may love it, but for me there was nothing that stood out. But then, I am a preset only user, I was just expecting more from the presets.

I went straight for the HS patches and got stuck trying to dissect a few of thosebasslinemaster wrote:Well, I tried the demo and turned off HQ mode, still relatively high CPU, and virtually none of the presets impressed me (I only use presets). Just what I was expecting, brilliant stuff
