It's a great tool, but I still can't get it too register. :(

Anyone else have a problem?

Thanks,

R.

Amazing Slow Downer needs to be mentioned as a good contender, though :

Less accurate perhaps, but excellent quality of rendering and low price, unbeatable quality/price ratio until now
Or Paulstretch, a better known favourite

Hello Robmobius,

There seems to be a random problem that 3 or 4 people are having with the admin rights preventing the folders from being installed.

Ircam is aware of this and with the info we have passed on to them about your case and the others, they think we will have a solution for it today.

Best Regards,

Nick

If one buys it now for OS-X, would one get the upcoming Windows version free of charge or at a discount?

Hello TheoM,

Thanks for your comments about the Ircam TS.

Please bear in mind that it is the first release of a product that has years of research behind and years of development to come, (Ircam has been going for quite a while).

There will be a lot more features to come, snap to semitone and tempo functionality, DAW intregration as a plug-in, etc....

Sales have been great and the clients are quite happy with the quality of the time stretch and pitch shift.

And remember the Transient, Sinus, and Noise sliders are there to experiment with, one can get some nice hybrid sounds going quite quickly.

Keep the comments coming as it will help improve the product.

Best Regards,

Nick

I have to say Nick. I really like it... And I think the sound quality is fantastic. I do a lot of re-sampling, for voice effects, bass and other general musical weirdness. But I'm very picky about what I'll use for this process, and I've been disappointed by Presonus's S1 time stretching. It's good on drums, but it's very unpredictable, and often leaves nasty artifacts if you extend the sample.

Logic's was solid, and Ableton did a good job as well (likewise Bitwig). I was not all that convinced by the waves stuff. It does the job.

I've used the IRCAM tech in Motu Mach 5, which is stunning (just listen to that Starwars demo :)). But it can be a lot of hassle getting Motu set up for one or two quick bass bounces.

That's why I wanted a product like TX. One bounce out to the Desktop, and it's in to TS then straight back into the DAW. So, I'm happy with it being independent from the DAW. And because the sound quality is superior, I don't have to do anything beyond the original bounce.

I do agree with Theo, on the semi-tone snapping that would be a neat feature.

Very solid release in my opinion Nick (especially if their is more features coming!). :tu:
