Need help on how to embed meta data into .aif & mp3 files

I ran across Kid3 in my googles and was also going to check that out. I don't need to convert formats anyway because I use Goldwave for converting. With that in mind, I'll go for the program with the least amount of extra "stuff" cluttering up the gui with with features I don't need. I just want a simple to use and look at program to tag .aiff files and mp3 files and it does seem that Audacity and Kid3 will be what I end up using which ever works best for me. And thanks aMused for your input by the way.You've helped me out a few times.

Got it all figured out now. I can tag both .aff and mp3 files using either Audacity or iTunes. Thanks for all your input guys!
