I'm trying to build a more complex wavetable from my hardware synth. I'm not 100% happy with the results, the most frustrating thing, there are a lot entries in the table which are completely crap. So I must listen to every entry and compare them with the hardware to find the closest and remove others. Maybe I make something wrong, so if somebody has a good recommendation, please

Because it's too complicated to use cent values with the hardware, I record at C0 which means a split at 1348 samples. I set the value in the formel parser (C0 or 1348) and drag & drop the recorded wave to the wavetable editor. Is there a better way to do this?

Do you want to end up with a transitional wavetable which captures an evolving sound or do want to create several single cycles which you can then morph inside Serum?

Constant pitch, no evolving sound. I'm only interested for single cycles to capture a hardware oscillator.

Have you tried dragging the sample directly into a single slot of the editor rather than creating an entire table, that works much better for single cycles. I also sometimes edit the waveform in a sample editor like RX 3 first and the drag the resulting single cycle into a single slot.

Yes, but I had some crashes with Cubase while dragging them to a single slot. Maybe it's a better solution to prepare the waveform with a external editor and cut also unnecessary cycles.

Btw... what is the best way to have a table with morphed cycles? Eg. the first a saw and the last a square in the table and the values between them should be computed to have a full filled wavetable. Is this working with Serum?

Yes. I had to read it again. The display is a bit different for the thumbnails if morphed subtables are created, this has confused me a bit. But it's working as expected.
