Id agree with that, when I first heard of Xils 4, I assumed it meant Xils3 was discontinued, and was surprised/confused when I noticed it was still for sale... i was also confused about Xils V+, which I read as Xils 5+ ... perhaps I'm just easily confused!

However, I will say I've suffered the same, as a developer, Ive in the past got myself into all sorts of issues with naming projects,releases and products ... and been told they 'were not logical', its not as easy as it seems.

good news it this thread can supply alot of ideas for future product names.

Hmmm like I said, maybe we're at Xils too much aware of our own history to manage properly the names of the different synthesizers in the Xils series.

We assume that people know that the Xils 3 ( reference to the VCS 3 ) was the first model, because there were never such things as a Xils one or xils 2. But for the people discovering Xils in 2013 or 2014, its true thats it very easy to make the confusion with version numbers, and we have to be more conscious that they cant be aware of Xils history. so yes, a lot of things to think about, and ... a lot of possible names for the next models. Thnaks for that, and your input.

Well, maybe not if you consider that its a major update, and that a Light Edition at Xils might deliver much more than standard edition of very pricey synthesizers in some other lands.

6 oscillators, pristine 0df non linear analog filters, interactive 1278 steps polysequencer with many record modes and editing, live modulation of envelope segments for expressive sounds and playing, polyphonic Ring Modulators, can be usedd as effect, trapezoidal looping EV switchable to ADSR, Spring Reverb, vintage Chorus effect, 440 modulation matrix per patch : I know some regular synths that dont have all these features, by far.

And the main thing : A gorgeous, live, organic sound. The Xils sound.

Well just try it and find out by yourself if you feel inspired by the audio demos.

I was about to answer to your thread. Well, I think it would not be worth it.

We're about to release the Xils 3 LE V2.0 with a 'Choose What You Pay' model, a variant of pwyw, and the base price is SO incredible and low that I doubt it would make the Xils 3 LE v2.0 interesting for the charity.

I have XILS 3 LE, must I do something special or simply overwrite because of the serial number?

I open it but I can't find any preset inside. Is this normal or ?
