The Xils3 LE V2.0 will not erase the old version, and will appear as a new synth in your host(s). With its own presets folder. If you had custom presets in the old version, first open the old version synth, then export your presets using the *export* function. Then just import them in the new version using the *import bank* function. Some of the old presets will not sound exactly the same, due to all the numerous enhancements/additions of the new version.

Hmmm I see. Could it be that you're on Win7/8/Vista and that you installed the plug in a folder where you have no rights ? The best in this case might be to re-install it in the default folder wich is proposed by the installer : c:/Users/Public/Documents/XILS-lab/XILS 3.2.( or log as admin and try to see if it changes something ) If this is not the case, please contact xils-lab so that we can look into this issue and solve it.

Tbh I spent some time with the synth and it is surprisingly deep. Looks like a toy at the first glance but this one can produce some serious sounds.

And this is one of the few synths that indeed have to be explored otherwise you won´t get any sounds out of it if you start with a virgin matrix.

As a side note: some of the FACTORY (poly)patches are pretty loud and clip inside Reaper if played at max velocity and eg as a 7th chord (way above > 0dbFS).

Thanks Sebastian Yes it a full featured synthesizer. Editing existing presets should be much easier than starting from an empty matrix for beginners. If not the risk is indeed no sound at all. And it can produce not only serious, and organic, deep sounds, but also ... produce sounds that no other synth can do, except its big brothers of course.

I'll make some tuts video in the near future to help people getting hold of this synth.

Just dowload the Xils3 LE V2 installer here and install

Xilssentials soundset is here ( 5€ instead of 17 after intro period ). Just use the 'import bank' function in the Xils3 LE V2 to import it after that.

I had the same problem with no presets... (again, mac osx, which was also fixed by redownloading and installing)
but it gave me time to explore the synth without being distracted, and its alot of fun, took me a while to figure it out (as i also didnt see the manual ) , but once you get the idea of whats going on its very easy to use and very flexible.

very nice, totally recommend others have a play with it.
