For extra confusion it will not replace Xils 3LE, it pops up as new synth with the same name and different ID. GUI is a little bigger, washed out and re-mixed a bit, it seems to contain more or less the same stuff just in different places.

Wow, that is the deflation speaking... iPad prices for a VST Synth...
I actually don't need another synth, but for those prices I'll have to take a look/hear. Nice marketing ruse, you got me interested :=)

As a happy winner I was able to play a bit with it, it sounds great.

That should cover my analog needs for now but I'll have to dig the manual because even if LE it has quite a few non ordinary features!

I checked all tabs; anybody knows how to download this product at Xils-lab?

How do I get the Xilssential sound set ?
I bought the 10Euro version about 70 minutes ago and was sent a serial etc for the plugin, but nothing telling me how to get the Xilssential set.

As for the naming thing, i agree that 3.2 was a somewhat unfortunate choice since it doesnt really mean what it would normally mean in the traditional version numbering schema. People who know nothing about the product are therefore likely to assume that 3.2 simply means version 3.2, not version 2.0 of the product XILS 3, as we have already seen in this very thread.

However, there is an elegant solution to this. In cases where a version number would otherwise directly follow a number of the product name, one can write 'Mark' in letters and use a roman number, e.g. XILS 3 LE MarkII or XILS 3 LE Mk.II

This elegantly isolates the 2 from the 3 while the fact that it is a second/upgraded issue of the XILS 3 is immediately obvious, even to people who know nothing about the product at all.

edit; and there the fun stopped; inserted the serial when opening it in my DAW, then it sais that authorisation has succeeded (or something like that) and that I have to relaunch the plugin, I do it and it asks for the serial again.
I restart the DAW (Reaper) and still the serial has to be inserted again; This is my first time with Xils lab; is this brand such a mess?
I hardly ever have this kind of trouble with registration etc.

I fully agree. This is the best solution which makes the things clear for the regular customer as well as for the new customer.

i am not sure if it's your problem, but usually this means that you need to run the DAW once in admin mode, so it can write whatever directory or registry entries it needs to stay authorized, and then after that it should just read it. that's the first thing i typically try when i see something like this, and iirc i had to do this with both of my xils synths...

Well AAS did similar things with UA1 ages ago iirc, or Arturia with their mini. Glad we got you interested, we think this synth fully deserves it.

We want it in every home

As simple as that.

Just listen to the demos. DL if you like the sound, then try the demo .... then ......... maybe ......... at this price ... a quite unique synth ........

XILS 4 LE V2.0? Is that a typo?

XILS 3 V2? Isn't XILS 4 the same as XILS 3 V2?

I think I'm going to faint
