We plan to update the manual ( this one really needs some hard work, even if it was partially rewritten recently) and pusblish some tutorial in the next weeks. meanwhile you can take a look on Xils site at some videos that were made for its big brother, the Xils 3 V2 ( especially those covering the sequencer part, etc )

Potentially dumb question but as above I bought the 10 euro version with Xilssential included, are these presets incorporated into the factory batch or do I have to download the set from the Xils website? Thanks!

I'm baffled now.. XILS 4 LE V2.0? Is that a typo? XILS 3 V2? Isn't XILS 4 the same as XILS 3 V2?

I'm literraly drowning under Pms, user support queries, forums queries etc etc. This synth is really starting to be spread like a real viral thing. I was not prepared to all that. Sorry guys if I forget to answer a message from times to times, or miss a PM, this will be better over time. Hope you understand.

Hi, thanks, I tried this, and got the message that authorization succeeded, then relaunched; again same problem, then restarted Reaper as administrator and still the problem; I have had enough of time spent for such a cheap plugin. Will ask for money back.

no thats not a dumb question, and I take the opportunity to answer to all those who have done the same :
You need to DL Xilssentials soundbank on the site, its not in the factory batch.( in your Xils account) Unfortunately, the php script was not as robust as we expected and a lot of people who have purchased Xilssentials simulataneously cant find it in their account. We're going to fiwx that one as soon as possible. Please be patient, and accpet our apologies.

A quick turnaround for those who want to purchase the Xilssentials soundbank is to add it to the basket/caddie together with the Xils3 V2 LE.( so purchase them separately )

This also answers to people who want to purchase ONLY the soundbank Xilssentials, because they already have the LE, the full Xils 3 V2, or the Xils 4, here's the direct link to Xilssentials :

As for the naming thing, i agree that 3.2 was a somewhat unfortunate choice since it doesnt really mean what it would normally mean in the traditional version numbering schema. People who know nothing about the product are therefore likely to assume that 3.2 simply means version 3.2, not version 2.0 of the product XILS 3, as we have already seen in this very thread.

However, there is an elegant solution to this. In cases where a version number would otherwise directly follow a number of the product name, one can write 'Mark' in letters and use a roman number, e.g. XILS 3 LE MarkII or XILS 3 LE Mk.II
This elegantly isolates the 2 from the 3 while the fact that it is a second/upgraded issue of the XILS 3 is immediately obvious, even to people who know nothing about the product at all.

Thats exactly one of the names I proposed this morning Xils 3 LE MKII, as in souvenir of Roland or Korg
What came out of the hat though was Xils3 LE V2. Maybe not the best solution, but for sure better than 3.2 etc. Same for the Xils 3.2, its now Xils 3 V2. Well hope we'll learn our lesson for the Xils 1000

You can now open the Xils3 LE V2, and use the 'Import bank' function, and Xilssentials should immediatly show in the Le browser.

For those who are not familiar with Xils preset database management, I made a video about this system for Oxium. Its the same advanced system that you will find on Xils3 LE V2 ( and on all Xils synths/effects )

I sent an email to Xils Lab but will do that later again with the details. After more than an hour this evening I have had it right now.

If you install it on the same computer where the old LE version is installed it should not even ask you the serial.

Out of interest...what if you get it through the old audiomidi 'no brainer'? As it wasn't bought through the site, it's not a 'registered' version, apparently. Edit: i don't have the old version on my machine currently, and can't see an 'add serial number' link in the GUI?
