Considering how much props have prided themselves on the fact that you can open any song from Reason 1.0 and have it play back the same in the latest version of Reason I'm guessing that this whole Line6 ordeal was quite a bother for them. At least I know that I wouldn't be happy if I were in their shoes.KarmaShaman wrote:Thats great to hear. When everyones ReFills stop working due to Line6 discontinuation, at least it wont be quite as big a job for users to fix their patches. Still a painful, time consuming task but we have no choice but to accept how that issue will unfold.
Give me the WoW factors of Reason 8, pls

I love how I can change the track colors here. Makes for less confusion for me.KarmaShaman wrote:Oh and the colour changing each element of a track (sequencer, mixer and clip)is a nightmare in pre-R8. I have always thought that to be a stupid oversight so im glad they fixed it.

This is the one single issue here. Vertical sizing has always been to small. Hopefully, we may see an update on this...TheoM wrote:KarmaShaman wrote:Thats great to hear. Does r8 allow a larger vertical sizing of clips in the sequencer? I do some commercial work with audio-only and this has been a minor but noticeable issue.
no... vertical sizing is the same as it always was.. i.e too small, and not possible to do it track independent.

Orion did for awhile. So did Bitwig....eXode wrote:Well, that was fun. Let's see how long till the non Reason users come in and ruin this thread as well. Is there any other audio recording application that generates this much flack from people not actually using the application?

Which, now that I think about it was the way anti-DAW types tended to claim they were open minded about Reason but seemed to be quite the opposite instead.trimph1 wrote:Orion did for awhile. What's this?
4 pages of excuses?
4 pages of how RE's lost the battle vs. VST but the Swedes won't let it go?
I can't wait to read through it! I'm sure it's filled with professional insight.

As for me, I do agree with some of your assessment but really, do we need to get into this? Again?Mr. Fister wrote:What's this?

Oh...BTW ... if any others have issues with him just use your mute button instead of replying?

If that's referring to someone being banned from the Propellerhaed place, that is NOT me. You and I can have a conversation in the Propellerhead forum NOW if you'd like. I just don't post there. But I am registered and watch and read the forum.TheoM wrote:Mr. Fister wrote:What's this?

why do you have to ruin and troll this thread also? Come on Ras, stop it.
you were very cool at the PUF...
FWIW i was very upset they let a certain member back in and not you and i said publicly you should be allowed back in period. I will also email them about it.
It's not trolling when you're giving your opinion. It's made to be trolling when people say it is.
I bought Reason 8.
If I want to sit here and say "Oh whats this - 4 pages of excuses?", I do actually have that right.
I'd love to discuss the software = And I always do. And I can speak about it quite intimately as I know the program very well.
Sorry if my entry into this thread could have used more finesse, trimph1

Why? In this forum you have been very vocal about Reason's status as an amateur DAW and against the VST blockout. Therefore i'm intrigued as to what 'wow' factors made you upgrade from your existing version.Mr. Fister wrote: I bought Reason 8.
I find that the workflow killers outweigh the workflow improvements, but appreciate that we all have our own way of working and assign a worth according to our needs. What was your need to upgrade, Fister?
