I remember doing 2 tracks entirely in XILS 3 LE for the last (and afaik only) XILS-lab song competition, which already has been a long time ago.

I gather that this LE version does NOT include the sequencer editor though? Too bad, I was very interested there for a minute... I'm a bit of a step-seq hoo-er.

Not quite sure if it´s the same like in the bigger version but there is a sequencer window where you can drag stuff around even in the LE version. Pretty funky actually.Protocol_b wrote:I gather that this LE version does NOT include the sequencer editor though? Too bad, I was very interested there for a minute... I'm a bit of a step-seq hoo-er.

Ah! May be worth a try then! Maybe the info I saw on the Web was actually for LE V1... thanks Halma!

Looks like this:Protocol_b wrote:Ah! May be worth a try then! Maybe the info I saw on the Web was actually for LE V1... thanks Halma!

And yes, it is definitely worth a try. This seq can do some nasty s**t and sounds pretty dope. Not your average one.

At this price? Amazing. I don't have much use for analog stuff, but this one models a remarkably flexible instrument, and sounds good. Even if the exact same version turns up in Computer Music magazine, I won't feel cheated.

NO CM version will NOT be able to load expansions banks, or external presets.jc_vt wrote:So, how does this CM version differ from the LE version? Will the CM version be able to use expansion sets?
CM version also doesnt include the sequencer, as well as triggers handling/management ( except pin matrixes )

I must admit that I was thinking about a new competition recently
When, how I dont know. Atm the LE V2 takes all our attention and work. As it sells like pancakes, it also requires a lot more support : The price of success. But there could be another competition indeed

Thanks. As for the CM version, see my post above, it wont have all the features of the LE ( *A full featured incredibly good sounding analog modular synthesizer for the price of a beer* as I read on another forum )FLWrd wrote:At this price? Thanks DjShiredjshire wrote:Bought it, love it. One of the better analogue emulations I've heard and used.
The Xils3 LE V2 is the result of more than 6 years of continuous development in the depths of the labs. If the oscillators sound so authentic, and 99.99% aliasing free, its because of the modelisations techniques that Xils patiently improves year after year. And you'll find similar quality in all Xils-Lab instruments. Same with filters etc etc. Thas why Xils instruments sound unique.

Yes you can fully edit the sequencer in the LE V2. I'm currently working on a sequencer tutorial for the manual. And another one for the Spring Reverb/

Did you catch all the typos in the GUI? I saw one or two in a (this?) thread, but not the one when you enlarge the sequencer pin matrix.Lotuzia wrote:Thanks. Thanks FLWrd. What typo do you mean the dot inside Seq.uencer ? ( Should be Sequencer indeed )
Other typos : *Sensivity* instead of *sensitivity* in the input modules transcient : Confirmed ( found by ENV1 )
For the mouse over labels for the two outputs pan parameters it works ok for me : It indicates left and right as they should. Could someone confirm it shows EXT on some sytems ? ( Found by Amused )
As for the Spring Reverb mode 3 question, it works on my system in all my hosts, and I cant reproduce it atm. even if I switch and go forth and back several and many many times between the different reverb algorythms. So maybe this bug depends on other additional connexions ? Or could be specific config relted.. I'll UL asap a preset that allows to test the reverb on your system. Its a preset where the Spring Reverb is modulated by an oscillator. Effect guaranteed
