This preset tour video is very long !!!!!, must have taken you a lot of time ! Show well the sonic character of the Xils series.

I liked it when you used the Joystick live. Vector Synthesis is great playing live, and its also great to discover *new presets nested inside the preset*

Also one thing I noticed is the CPU in the top right of hte screen. I dont know what computer you have, but typical values seem to be 6/8% for leads, basses, etc, and only 10% for dual unison. This demonstrate that you dont obligatory need that much CPU for pristine analog oscillators and odf non linear filters. Xils-Lab synths always run with highest level quality modes btw.

Oh, and one other thing.

I noticed that inputting notes in sequencer Row-A will also create notes in Row-B and vice-versa.

The same goes for C/D and E/F

No, Not really intended, even if you can edit the second line of each pair in a second time. This could be improved. ( does this from the start iirc )

I run a I7 2,6 GHz with 8 GB DDR 3 MacBook Pro and Ableton Live 64 Bit
It was very fair the CPU use. I know other plugins, their on the top of my power

I tested the IMPORT issue on two different hosts as well. Still does not work for me.

Move XilsFiles32.dll to C:\Windows\System32

Hi, I bought a xenossoundworks soundset today.
Importing a bank does not work, I tried your tip above; it does not work. I tried it with moving XilsFiles32.dll and also with copying it.
I use Reaper 32bit on W7 PC.

I must say; this is the third thing that takes me quite some time and does not work from the start with this Xilslab product.
I never had to spend so many time doing basic things with any brand before, finding the download, getting it authorized and working and now importing a bank.

Why does this brand make a product that doesn't do things the way it sais it will do?
One problem like this I would not mind but 3 in the first week?
Anyway, frustration aside, hope someone has an idea about this.

Both XilsFiles32.dll & XilsFiles64.dll are in D:\Samples\XILS 3.2

Create a copy of them in the directory D:\Samples\ and retry.

We should take you as a beta tester

To be honest, ive had the same thought.

And just to show you that im not trying to be smug here, heres some more things ive found.

1) The sequencers Sustain knobs dont seem to be doing anything. The notes get longer in the row, visually, but so far i have not found any settings constellation that would actually result in longer notes. Their gate length remains 100% consistent no matter what.

2) Under KEYB, the small connection matrix says 'KEYB OFF' whereas the enlarged display says 'KEYB GATE'.

3) Hovering over a control, triggering a tooltip, immediately freezes the sequencers position indicator. The indicator continues normally as soon as the tooltip goes out.

4) With only KEYB ON to SEQ ON and KEYB OFF to SEQ STOP set, the sequencer will reset to start upon letting go and re-pressing a note, even though nothing is connected to SEQ RESET.

5) KEYB ON to TRAPEZOID only affects the Attack and Decay stages, but will not Sustain. If a note is to be sustained, KEYB OFF to TRAPEZOID has to be set as well. I therefore assume that KEYB OFF is not actually KEYB OFF, (maybe it used to be in the older versions?), but rather KEYB GATE, just as the label on the enlarged display indicates. The small label must therefore be corrected. (Or the Gate function relocated to KEYB ON, where it really belongs.)


So much for now, ive only had about 30 minutes to fool around. Like i said, i will dig deeper at the weekend and make notes as i go.

Well, importing banks worked for most people from day the start, and it had some problems for some other people.

The Xils LE V2 has only been released for barely 4 days, and there was already 2 fixes that allowed even more people to solve the import bank and other installing/entering serials problems affecting some configs.

Some problems remain, like typos, or even more annoying things, but due to the complexity of the synth, a lot is working.

Now take the whole thing the other way ? What other synth can offer what the Xils 3 LE V2 offer you for 4 Euros for the 95/97% of the things that actulally work ok now ? None.

What other synth 10 times more expensive can offer you what it does now ? None.
What other synth 40 times more expansive can offer you what it does now ? None ( except the Xils 3 )

I look at it this way : In a few days, most bugs will have been ironed out, but ... you will still have paid 4 euros for a unique synth with an astonishing sound. And that's it. Hope you'll enjoy it more and more.

Yes I can confirm the seq lines sustain knobs seem to be broken in this version. For the labels mouse over, on my systems, the sequencer step running indicator only freezes when such label appearing is sharing the space on the seq tick line, sometimes the labell will be displayed just under the line, and in this case everything runs fine. Not a big deal, but repositionning it a bit under might be better. Did not have time to check the other points ccos I'm too tired but will do

If I got the choice to pay this price for a betaversion that would have been a clear choice;
"The price is nice but it comes with a price. Pay for this synth with your time. Buy now in betaversion."
I agree it's still very much worth it, what do you get for this price, but should have been clear from the start before buying.
What impression and experience does this brand want to give to new customers?
Clear communication is important and a clear website.
If I get the message; go to the download section to download the plugin and that section is nowhere to be found for a experienced webuser. That should be dealt with imo.
I'm not angry, just giving my opinion and for the rest I'm satisfied with the quick fixing.

Sure, but unfortunately it works 100% ok for thousands of people at this moment. And a good part of the same people declare it sounds gorgeous, amazingly authentic, and are more than happy with it. ( and I could procuce dozens of quotes and testimonies about that, some can be found in this thread btw )

I know some other companies selling synths in beta stage, and whith remaining problems with v1.0 beeing out, for much much more than 4 €. This is btw normal, no synth is bugless. So that you for sure should post similar slogans in these companies threads as well to gain at least a bit of credibility. Unless I see you doing this, I think the risk is heavy for you to be considered as a *fanboy* bashing only certain companies. Not a big deal on kvr btw

Its not a beta. It works ok on thousands of people configs atm. Some bugs will be fixed, no synth is totally bugless. And that's it. If admitting from our side that there is still some work to be done on a synth, beeing honnest, try to help people, and pusblish to fixes in less than two days, leads to this kind of conclusions, then, communication on forums will probaly shrink to minimum, from a dev POV.
