What do you guys think about just posting song ideas to get some input on? I've got a bunch of little things laying around that I don't finish. I'd like to hear some opinions on them with some ideas that might be like "that was cool, and you could do X after that, Y before that, add a Z", or "that was lame, I'd throw it out".
I have a difficult time staying creative for an extended period of time (and I usually don't have an extended period of time to work on anything), so for me it would help if I could post part of something and get feedback on it.
Also, my production skills are lacking so it also would help to be able to post a snippet and get feedback like "decent mix, but cut the mids at XXXhz" or "pull that lead down" etc. That way I don't spend countless weeks on something and then everybody go "you should have done this"! I think I have decent musical talent, I just can't get the mix I want...plus all I have are headphones
I've never posted any music out here, but I'd really like the feedback from you guys. I guess I've always felt inferior because I can't seem to complete a tune
So would some of you be interested in hearing some short bits of crap and bashing them?
Plus, I don't have a place yet to host them and I'd hate to put ten 8 bar loops on soundclick. Are there any hosting alternatives for me?
