Cream running independent from pressed notes

Im testing various demos, and cream is so far my favourite ...
What I can't get working is, how to let it play independent from incoming midi, to only play the current part of a sequence when notes are held.
Is this possible like in Ctuhulhu or Consequence?
Thanks ...

Sorry I'm not quite getting what's your question is.
Can you rephrase the question or add an example so my dummy head can understand

Thanks for getting back to me …
The functionality I'm looking for is, that the sequence shouldn't restart after I have released notes, it just moves on without playing notes and when the next notes are pressed it plays at it's current running position.
FM8's arp has this as well.

Doesn't the hold mode do exactly what you are describing here?

The "Note release" button is close to what I need.
You desrcibe it in your video: "… Cream will continue playing the pattern... as long as the gap is not longer than 1 step …"
So, basically I need a longer/infinite gap.
Sorry if I cause too much confusion, unfortunately that's the feature I need most.

On the very left side there is the "HOLD" button. Please turn it on. If you now press a note and release it, Cream continues to play. I think it's that what you're looking for!?
