Mo Verdigast wrote:Here is a serious suggestion. How about everyone is required to contribute a song that includes their own voice, singing or spoken, modified, mangled, or otherwise?

´An evening in the whorehouse´ would be a nice theme (ladies would be excluded from the contest this time).
:-o :-o :-o

haha - I take it you have something in mind already for your entry Andreas?! :D
Was it really me who wrote this dirtiness? :-o  :o :D

With such a contest theme I finally could argue to my wife that I´ve to go there for making live recordings. :hyper:

thanks for the votes, dudes 8)
Well, I LOVE that book - Banks is like my all-time fav SciFi author.

So, I could close my eyes and see myself there when listening to your song... ;)

However, as a member of 'The Culture', I must strongly advise you to keep a tight lip - we don't want all these earthlings weirded out and stuff...

 8)
s'alright. we can just set a few knife missiles on them :hihi:

nice to hear from another Banks fan. :)

I am currently re-reading "Tiger, Tiger" by Alfred Bester. (it's also known as "The Stars My Destination"). The reason I read it in the first place was because Banks said it was his favourite Sci-Fi book. It *is* absolutely awesome. If you haven't read it, go and treat yourself :D

would be a nice idea, but i believe that not everyone has a mike in their setup...

on the other hand, the whorehouse idea is brilliant... :D

i take the opportunity to reiterate my cheers and thanks to the large crowd who voted for my track. i'm very glad 8)

Many thanks to Andreas, Xander, Patrick9, aMUSEd and Hues for the votes..

sorry about that ol' chap! Hopethe head is done out again soon!

wrt next month, the 'what you don't like' theme sounds interesting.. the entries could then match the reviews for 'well, this isn't really my cup of tea...'

Or if the 'must have vox somehow' theme was chosen (by whomever), for the mic-less, there's always AnalogX's 'SayIt', then mangle!

I fancy something summery (as it is in the Northern hemisphere), like 'Fairground' or 'Holidays'. Failing that a 'Jazz' theme would bum DT out for another month. Actually a DT Jazz-toon would be more scary than his SciFi piece :-o

Or go 'Emo' - you can buy CD's of mood music, but it's always girls blouse stuff. What about 'Bad Moods': 'Angry;' 'Bitter;' '"Sod Off"'...

{Guess it's one of those mornin's!}

 "Knife Missiles" Ya gotta love them Knife Missiles - especially the ones with the wise-ass personalities. I guess ya got to have 'tude if you're gonna be a Knife Missile

I just reread 'Look To Windward' 8)

I have never read that Bester novel, but I am definitely on it - especially if the great IMB rec's it. 8)

So now can you do 'Theme from the 'Masaq Orbital' - or - 'Requiem For The GSV 'Lasting Damage'

Post

the Masaq orbital ............ :)

I've only read Look to Windward once. Gonna dig it out again as soon as I finish TigerTiger. :D

...Or not! I think my entry this month qualifies as as work in a genre I suck at - actually two things I suck at: covers and arranging for a large pop combo. And the interesting result is that I'm not sure if it's that interesting to most people. :hihi: I guess that's where the character building comes in... ;)

Actually your idea sounds a bit like the old "NMCOT theme" creeping back in again. BTW, I don't remember anyone using that phrase at all in the last 30 days - even for my track! :-o
